Hmm, i seem to recall watching an episode of "the many loves of dobbie gillis" (on nick at night, not live). Bob denver's character, Maynard, with the assistance of a machine created more popular songs depending on how many sales they wanted. Long story short, the truely popular song was just a bunch of random noise.
"It would be interesting to see how much money this saved the movie industry - errr, I mean cost the rest of us (i.e. taxpayers) to fund this joint venture."
Thats an interesting question, but your only looking at what it cost for the operations. It would be fair to hypothetically calculate the lost revenue the govermnent lost through taxation of legal sales.
What i mean is that you pirate a game, no one really makes any money. If say 10% of those who pirate, actually went out and bought legal copies (went to theaters,...) then the govermnent would get their share in taxes.
Because OBL is most likely hiding in the northern tribal region of pakistan. This region is fundieville. Musharaf would have a major problem allowing americans to go in and raid there. So the US/cia has a tough choice of looking for him and pissing local fundies or letting him stay quarantined and keeping musharaf in power.
from the article: The system runs off two 512 MB compact flash cards, which provides a storage system with no moving parts able to withstand up to 10,000 Gs. One compact flash card holds the operating system in a protected write mode, while the other stores a real-time flight log - a 'black box' that can be examined to diagnose problems, even if the vehicle crashes.

CNN in a poor programming decision IMHO, did not carry any news of this while it was happening. OTOH FoxNews did!! Which supprised the hell out of me. They did ask some expert a few times how this would mean that missiles (in the future) could hit Osama in 15-30 minutes instead of the 4+hours it takes today. But at least they did have someone talking about the technolodgy/science behind this, and actually showed the takeoff, and launch of the plane. Quite nice of them.
Kudos to Fox, to CNN: do a better job, or you will fall further behind FoxNews.
Yes less need for lawyers, why? Because HMO's will offer you a plan stating that all non-emergency surgeries will be performed outside the US. IANAL, but it seems that if you agree to go out of the country for surgeries in exchange for lower cost health care, than all malpractice lawsuits should/would be handled in India. LOL, it just came to mind that we would also be outsourcing our lawyers to india.
I hate to admit it, but they do have a point. Savings can be had by lower paying doctors, nurses, facility costs, you also get to eliminate malpractice suits. Real savings with the last one. Your real cost will be to ship the patient back and forth (around $800 to $1200).
Hmm, Im torn between feeling bad for doctors/nurses, and happy that there will be less need for lawyers.
actually you are not limited to: one 16x and multiple 1x PCIExp slots.
Via's PT890(intel) and K8T890(amd) chipsets plans on having one 16x, one 4x and multiple 1x PCIExp slots. See http://www.anandtech.com/chipsets/showdoc.html?i=1 954 for details(first and last table).
Anand suggests that: "The inclusion of a PCI Express x4 interface off the North Bridge could pave the way for high speed networking or storage devices with no bandwidth constraints." But it could also be used to run a second graphics card if demand is great enough.
With many profs. having hundreds of students, exactly where are they going to find the time to make sure your paper is an original. And TAs coming from overseas, I was happy if they could even speak english in the of chance that i need help. With this situation at hand, many have taken the easy route and cheated by searching/buying papers online.
I hope students are required to hand their papers in to anti-cheat sites, before hand. Hey Id like to make sure people are all getting a fair shake.
First the courts allow us to get generic garage door openers. And now we might limit another abuse of the DMCA. Can this be the year that the consumer wins.:)
Anandtech has had a review for a week or so: part 1 part 2 their conclusion:
"We recommend this beautiful notebook to those looking to tackle the best of desktop gaming, high-end multimedia users, and even those looking for an alternative to the very popular Pentium 4 desktop replacement notebook, like those that are ODM through Clevo (Sager/Eurocom/Hypersonic). At the moment, this is the only notebook on the market to use a processor from the Athlon 64 family, and we are sure there will be more to follow. We are particularly excited to hear about AMD?s upcoming mobile Athlon 64 processor, which should breathe a breath of fresh air that mobile systems have yet to fully appreciate"
What democracy!!! Last time i looked, we lived in a republic. Wow, schools have certainly gone from bad to hopeless, when even the type of govermnent is not know. Just so we all know, the public does not directly elect the president. Its the electorial college that does that. So its possible to have candidates who have more total votes and still loose the election.
Learn the type of govermnent you have and then youll be able to properly complain about it.
... is the inclusion of any significant number of elves to battle sauron. The reason armies of elves should not be there for me, is that this is where humans are supposed to redeem themselves for the mistake of Isildur, who should have destroyed the ring when he had the chance.
Does it bother anyone else? Its minor, but why not bring an army of dwarves too, if we are rewritting things.
should have most of this suite installed already (excluding a few things) Thanks for defining most for us.
