    If everyone thought Linux was perfect, it would stop getting better. Fortunately, there are people with the 'engineer mentality' who keep looking for incremental improvements.

    Over time, Linux will grow and change. If you see something you don't like, get Linus to fix it. If you don't see something you want, ask Alan Cox to whip it up for you.

    And if our representatives in Congress don't have enough time to read all the laws they are trying to pass, they are passing too much legislation.

    There is not enough time in your life to read all of the Federal Register and still keep up with everything that is added each year.

    Maybe Congress should stick to what it was specifically allowed to do by the Constitution, and leave all else to state and local governments, or to the people, as originally intended.

    If we designed cities and towns better, we could reduce the need to drive.

    Try living in an area that was built-up before WWII. Those areas tend to be compact, mixed-use, with a variety of housing types and mixed incomes. Many of the people in those areas can walk to parks, stores, restaurants, bars, libraries, schools, churches, the post office, etc.

    You may still need a car for some trips, but you can reduce the number of trips and the lengths of trips you take by car.

    The Arabian people I know are pretty intelligent and friendly. Most are doctors or engineers. And dinners at their houses have been great every time. Is that the stereotype you want to perpetuate?

    That is good that Dell has changed their policy on prices of systems without any pre-installed OS.

    I know they did not make sales to some customers because of that a few years ago.

    The 1950s was the invention of nuclear power.

    That would have made it difficult to have produced and used nuclear weapons in World War II (that ended in 1945).

    Nuclear power was realised by man-made methods in 1942, under the bleachers at the University of Chicago, by Enrico Fermi and his team.

    Nuclear power was theorised long before that.

    Natural nuclear fission reactions occurred two billion years ago in Gabon.

    Nuclear power was not 'invented' in the 1950s.

    I don't buy from Dell, but a friend's company did. The price for the systems they were quoted was identical whether Windows was installed or not. In other words, Dell already included the cost of the Windows license in the sale, even if the consumer did not want it. That was just a few years ago.

    Does anyone know if there is a price difference now?

    And you then get to lose all of your session data. What a wonderful solution. If you are using the internet to research a problem that you are actively working on, a browser that acts like it is the most important process running is a less than ideal solution.

    Try using the Session Saver extension. Version .2 works pretty well these days.

    In about:config, try using the filter. It saves time, so you don't have to scroll through the whole list.

    You can put a partial string (like 'browser.sessionhistory.ma') and get all matching preferences.
