all right I looked it up myself and heres the user.js snippet.
// More important, disable JS windows popping up a new window on load
// (as lots of porn and spam sites do):
user_pref("dom.disable_open_during_load", true);
I hope this includes scripts which pop it open without using an onload() ie. they stick it in the head of the page or something.
>>"Who needs 80 Gigs of MP3s, give me a portable radio add on anyday.:) "
That's funny - I was just thinking about how worthless that rio add on would be for me... wow, i just cant get enough Kenny G, Dave Matthews and Britney Spears clones!
I could easily fill up 80 gig's of of disk space with copylefted techno mixes - inlcuding my own - just one of them at a high bitrate takes up over 100 MB's and I could definately get 800 of those.
I think Apple might have been better served by hiring the guy who created the Aqua E theme ao that he could do a better job. Seems to me that the more screens that have apple logos, the more times people think apple makes a pretty desktop, (whether it's apple's harware or not) the better.
It definitely does'net help them to have a bunch of half implemented themes running around out there especially if they're not up to apple's spec.
To you and me it might not be a deciding factor but to someone who walks into CompUSA to buy the whole package, it might. If they had seen the UI on my linux box at work and liked it they might be more likely to buy a Mac for $1000 more, just to get that "snazzy" interface. It doesn't make sense but that doesn't mean it wouldn't happen
don't try to fault Berman and Braga for at least giving an attempt to change the nature of Trek for the new century
I can only fault them for using recycled cheese instead of something really futuristic, like techno. And I really can't see what was so exploratory or experimental about it
My dad said he likes it! I guess that means he regards it highly enough to use it ;)
eXtensible ML-
seems like XML was designed to be extended. but i'd guess that it's a lot easier to deal with an ascii xml file than a doc file.
slolaris?
hmm. you are 5 releases behind the current. maybe that has something to do with it.
I'm running galeon on linux and everything is very responsive.
cheers!
take a step back and look how long the prohibition on marijuana has lasted.
:(
makes me feel rather unoptimistic.

I should probably just look for myself but...
does this disable all window.open() funcs or just the ones through onload() ?
cause there are legit reasons to open windows through user initiation. like opening a window for viewing an image.
>> under conditions that seem to me to be similar (but harsher) than those faced by a hypothetical Mars mission.
hmm. why not compare that to a hypothetical uboat mission, now which is harsher?
I don't know if this is feasible or not, but maybe you should have them delivered to your office.
You could vote for him next time around!

Anyway - to each his own, Isuppose
we may be able to study them but we still need to "decrypt" them, something we seem to have major problems doing.

this is totally subjective. c'mon, form your own opinions! -- invalid formkey? wtf?
I thought quantum effects could possibly span the entire universe. or something...
nope. it wasn't - for the reasons stated above.
what they didn't have USD? wtf? I'm assuming scotty took care of the manufacturing details too.
get real
Answering "none" is making up your mind. you choose to not have a religion!

they _are_ red shirts again! note the red stripe for engineering and yellow for command
