For some over sized masters level project that quite frankly isn't worth the time of day to anyone but the person who dreamed it up (nutty professor), the grad student who scratched the professor's itch, and the googly eyed parents who are sharing the video link to all their buddies on Facebook.
Based upon our ID numbers it looks to me like I been on./ a bit longer than you. Been away for about 5 years now. But never built up any real karma while I was here. I always thought I couldn't get more than N number karma points. A hard ceiling if you will. Hmmm.
Regardless, I probably don't have enough karma to last me more than a week.
I did read your blog a bit. Saw your commentary about the FAQ and how it brought a lot of traffic to you. At least that is my interpretation.
My gut tells me it really would not matter if my karma was bad. Swatting asshats, as you call them, down to size will get you attention.
Master, Teach me. Haven't used/. in a long time. Is it possible to keep one's karma high while pissing people off? Or is it still necessary. Or do you just damn the torpedoes and go full steam ahead?
On the whole, if you want to see who is most successful in IT just watch who walks out the office's front door at 1am, exhausted, stumbling to their car.
In a vast majority of cases it will not be the female employees. Invariably they have to leave at 5pm to catch the commuter train, or to pick up the kids, or a million other things.
Who it will be will be the single man who has no life or a married man who has a strong wife who works as a team with him to fulfill the goals of family.
That's been my experience. It's just the reality of life. It's not discriminatory. It is to each his own.
The real problem is that women are of the opinion that career success == life success. That is about as far from reality as you can get.
Women should consider the ability to hold a job and contribute to their total family as a "Battle Win".
Then they should look at their long-term ability to have children and raise them well as a "Winning the War."
I can only speak to Alabama, but I'll for lack of better information conclude that the rest of the USA is the same. If it isn't my apologies.
At one time in Alabama we had a "mental institution" called Bryce Hospital. I'm sure it wasn't pretty inside. The nature of the beast.
But, it did put a roof over our mentally ill folks' head. It gave them three square meals a day.
In the name of political correctness that facility was shut down. Those who might have found themselves there were "enabled." As best I can tell they were enabled to float along until they floated right into a ditch and couldn't get themselves out.
I hear that most of our homeless have some sort of mental illness issue. Yes I know the article talks about homeless with children. Just because your brain is a bit messed up does not mean your gonads do not work.
And now Paul Allen wants to commit $$$ to building a "Bryce Hospital" type facility?
There really was no reason to include the Trump jab in the summary. If you look at the article the summary could have easily stopped at the paragraph prior to the one including the Trump jab.
Based upon the comments I am seeing here it has skewed the commentary in a direction that doesn't add to the discussion.
Defeats the purpose of a F-35 doesn't it? Let's build a super stealthy aircraft and then have multiple none stealthy aircraft going into battle with it. Basically the F-16s will be saying, "There is an F-35 in the neighborhood, look harder and you will find it.
Ignoring the Chrome comparisons, comparing Edge to Firefox just isn't a fair fight. Heck, I believe I could come up with a better browser than Firefox.
While the desktop FB client is relatively free from the Snapchat nonsense the phone app is becoming horribly cluttered. Seemingly everyday a new "feature" is added that takes away from the core FB concept and relegates that screen real estate to functionality the FB client is not seeking.
In short, FB is running the very real risk of alienating adult users who simply do not care about all of shiny objects and prefer simplicity in their lives.
If you want to live in a world where parents are not allowed to have responsibility for their children but it is abdicated to the government this is the sort of thing you get.
Puhlease don't act surprised when you loose all of your free speech rights if you don't protect everyone else's.
Alright all you experts out there riddle me this one. If the universe is expanding then exactly why are the Milky Way and Andromeda Galaxies supposed to collide in the future????

Eh, My mind is other places today. Thanks for the patience.
As an arthritis sufferer I am so ready for this. It can't come soon enough.
Roger that. Preciate it.

As noted "So the Wheel Turns."
Brilliant insight!
Google needs to quit pretending and just limit it's search results to NPR, the New York Times, and the Washington Post.
That would fix it.
Being rich != Corrupt
In other words, truth be damned. The truth is achieved by a vote in Wikipedia land.
Wish I had mod points, you would get them.
The movie that totally nailed everything that is wrong with society.

Roku only wants to know what you watch away from it's box to know what advertisements to send to you.

I trust neither. Google talked a good game but is now just as evil as the rest.
My gut tells me no one at MS has opened a browser to /. in years now.

Technically that might be a tad bit difficult to implement. I say "might be".

Oh puhlease, grow up.
> Only in your CONservative world can you lie and say that the high battery costs don't wipe-out savings.
Huh?
Did you actually proof read what you wrote? Do you speak English at all? Because your train of thought is more like a train wreck.
