    Brilliant idea! Rent properties at a discount.. ok, full price, since they'll pay it. Then collect 'anonymous' data about how the tenants use said property, and sell that to whoever is interested. You could even include a hands-off billboard or display screen on the property as part of the lease and tailor ads specific to conversations that occur within the house. It would even be possible to have it automatically respond to common phrases like "I'm hungry," "I have a headache," "We're out of..."

    Stick a SD card into a floppy shaped device that your drive can read like it's a real floppy. The drive can still read floppies, and there's no evidence for the warranty people.

    A buddy of mine still codes in Assembler for 5/3rd on their mainframe, because the speed of the code is so much faster, by several orders of magnitude. He occasionally gets to write a new program, but rarely. The majority of his job is modifying 40 years of accumulated code.

    And suddenly, my job doesn't seem so bad...
