    like when they gave starwars star fighter something over a 9.0 and then after it sold a lot the dropped it down to the score that POS deserved. Yeah, IGN is real ethical, gotta love the links to buy the game (with a nice fat commission for IGN) right there beside the reviews.

    Hey ass fuck, don't you realise that the GPL is completely dependent on intellectual property? With out it someone could take the source, change it, and then redistribute the program in binary form without their modifications. Without intellectual property the GPL is impotent.

    Facts are not copyrightable. Airfares are facts. There was a big case between the bells and 3rd party phonebook makers where this was determined to be the case.

    Why should they want to be involved in openGL anyway? Where's the beef, so to speak. How an entertainment console without all of the above and integrated direct X, who's stopping microsoft from doing tha without being in the ARB? I hope you can see the various problems microsoft brings itself by being present on the committee for openGL, what with all the conflicts of interest that arise from the association and etc.

    Yeah but actually it would pose a lot more of a threat to open source security than to "microsoft security." Many things GNU licensed would be contested because the developers might have seen something, etc. etc. etc.

    Too bad that it won't be an mp3. No where are mp3s mentioned. Now thats not saying that you cannot still get a digital copy of it--it has to be decoded to be sent to the sound card at some point--but it does mean it won't be as easy as:

    1.download from AOL.
    2. Burn to CD with nero.

Maybe nerds are unpopular cause they would take the time to make a stupid map like that.. if you are constantly concerned with popularity maybe that's your biggest problem.

    what does that have to do with one of the parent statements, "This will give Apple a run for their money"? That statement makes it look like this will be competing with apple for money in some way but in actuality you don't buy the ipod's hardware and software seperatly from apple so either way apple makes the exact same cash

    the ford model t is an AWFUL example of your point.. it was the first "motorized carraige" that actually attained widespread acceptance, whereas the (orignal) segway most likly will not.

    I know there are a few differences in gas mileage etc. but.. don't state gasoline taxes pretty much do the same thing? (If you use gas for say a tractor, you can deduct it from your taxes in most states..)
