I'm just relaying what I've read about Russia in the news. You know the news can be biased and not draw the whole picture. I was simply trying to draw a picture from what was going on in the news. If you want to hook me up with some reads on the Russia-West relations, I'll be glad to read them.

They lessened democracy right after the terrorist attack of their school.
They regarded the Ukraine as problematic, and instead went to have military operations with China.
Now they want to charge for something that should be bridging for international good will.
I wrote a login/password script with no effort in less than an hour. The hardest part is getting an internet protocol compatible programming language, and actually writing your application.
What they were asking is like holding the door open for someone then asking for a hundred spot.
Passport not only had security flaws, but would be the biggest target ever imagined for phishing scams. Its funny too because the passport URL was so long that you didn't even see the www.microsoft part. You could have sent them to any site to login, and just kept their login and passport.
They defended the case claiming a EULA, but I'm sure they could have used another method to nix the BnetD guys. BnetD guys are cute when the beta is out, and I've used it before. I like to get a jump on strategy as early as possible. I think the fun of a game is finding the best strategy you can instead of just executing it.
Anyway Blizzard is one of the first gaming companies to use a CDkey that they can authorize on their server. This forces people to buy their own copy to play instead of pirating. BnetD was simply a way to circumvent Blizzard's anti-pirating technique. Under sane law, BnetD should not be allowed to do this. EULA was just an excuse, but I'm sure another method could have been employed.
I wouldn't hold anything against Blizzard for this one. Blizzard was just trying to defend their rights and keep sales up. Blizzard products are quality. If you like MMORPGS, I'd say go buy World of Warcraft. But if you want my honest opinion, they haven't done anything revolutionary yet, so its the same as any other MMORPG, but with the Blizzard name tag on it. I'm trying to convice Blizzard to slap in some flavorful RPG content.:)
Firefox doesn't bufferoverflow and install spyware on illicit web sites. I trust both IE and Firefox, but IE is weak to websites. Also IE doesn't have a popup killer.
I don't care what they say, I just click ok to use the software. I don't abide by what they say. Its all lawyer talk anyway. In case your computer explodes, we don't want to be held responsible.
When I played Final Fantasy 1, I knew the franchise would explode into tons of sequels. I've never met anyone who can predict what video game will be fun like me. In a lot of ways it sucks being able to see 10 years down the pipe. Most people just wait and are suprised by what video game comes out. I can already visualize the next big video game, but I need to wait until someone makes it. And mostly people make games almost on target, only to fail on some detail that would otherwise have made their game a hit. Yes, life is boring in the tech job, when I should be heading up a game design team.
I didn't mean to joke at such a serious matter. I find its hard finding jobs. Its the sort of market that almost makes you want to start your own buisness.
Sure I was only like 7 years old, but I knew video games rocked and they had a future. Sadly in 1983 the Atari's president didn't and embezelled money which led to Nintendo dominating in 1985.
I predicted in 1993: Instant messaging, personal ads, MMORPGS, and an auction site would have monopolistic powers.
As for tech workers going out of a job, they automate a company then find a new job. They're inventors who invent themselves out of a job if they're good at what they do. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to do the math... Assuming theres a limited number of jobs which I am pretty sure there is.
And then maybe the dog would really eat your homework.

If the News agencies didn't televise demands and beheadings, then the terrorists wouldn't have as much power.
Even though they claim its freedom, some news networks (Al Jazera) play the demands because it will increase ratings and they're afraid of what the terrorists would do if they didn't play it.
I don't think the press should have complete freedom to play everything in war time.
I came up with Gnutella independent of hearing about it. Bittorrent puts you in line, based on when you entered, but its flawed as I see it.
If the man above you has only a 1k upload time, you're stuck with the 1k download, and so is everyone below you. What if bittorrent allowed users to change their spot in the downloading based on the less upload or downloading.
I bet you could even stream television(aka the new Cable).
I did a search for 'simpsons' expecting to see the Mexican-Canadian super highway.

I doubt this system will shoot down a suitcase nuke.
Oh yeah, and the Russians have begun a project to make nukes that dodge our anti-missile system.
So basically you have a system that does nothing and angers political allies.

Biblically speaking, one could draw all types of claims of it being evil. I'm not making these claims, just saying they've been voiced before.
