I pay 100 Aus dollars a month for 11.5GB of downloads (yes, capped broadband) per month, 11 of which goes to Kazaa. Basically, i'm spending 90 bucks a month on entertainment. Sure, the artists don't get squat, but i'm still "paying" for what I watch.
Perhaps the record companies, movie companies etc should consider this in their business plan...
Pardon me for asking, but what is exactly funny about this? Gaming is a huge component of the entertainment industry, just like film. Is it funny that you can study film making?
And you can count on their service being swamped by leechers in the coming months, resulting in either a) a sudden change to their pricing or a download cap, or b) them going out of business.
For what it's worth, Telstra's broadband services started out as unlimited.
The argument doesn't need to fly at all. They just need to get their foot in the courts, so they can spend however many years it takes to fight it out until their competitor is bankrupt.
The main difference between now and then is that the whole tech industry is in a slump. AMD needs more than for Opteron to be a screamer in the benchmarks - they actually need people to start buying cpu's again.
On the other hand, even through these tough times in the industry, AMD has had better revenues from cpu's than they did during their boom time when the stock hit a pre-split high of 95 bucks. It's the flash industry that is really killing AMD, revenue on flash has been dreadful since 2000.
The performance on these things is fantastic. Of course, being the cruel world it is, ATI's linux drivers prevent me from even considering purchasing a card. I'll wait for NV30, thank you.
Imagine all the CEO's who read this article and thought 'SWEET!' , ran into the car park, got in their beamers and drove out the back of the building to lay a fat one.
Think about it, it really is true. Of course, that does not bode well for "Enterprise", as their big plot arc is all about being visited by the Voyager Time Cops over and over again. *groan*
Braga can't resist going for the cookie jar. Expect the temporal cold war premise of the first season to get chucked out over night once he gets the go ahead to throw the romulan war into the series. (i.e. when the ratings continue their downward trend)
Your ignorance shines brightly when you are seemingly unable or unwilling to acknowledge the difference between an Australian and a New Zealander.
So tell me, what's all that Canadian crap you were just talking about?
You have never walked past an XBox display in the Mall, have you =)
You are correct, they are not refugees, they are in fact illegal immigrants.
How much revenue did Mandrake Charity contribute?
"...that's no moon"
How about "Lindows"

Yet the windows installer is about 6MB. Instead of asking about the overhead of XUL, perhaps you should ask about the overhead of linux ports?
Don't get me wrong - I don't use windows at all. But builds of mozilla and phoenix ports are consistently larger than their windows counterparts. Why?

Video editing, for one.
Or, in your terms, "making pr0n" .

I'm just waiting for the fat monkey to explain how windows is secure, therefore everything to do with windows can't be disclosed.
No no, stocks in producers of fufme products skyrocket!
or Duke Nukem/Falcon 4.0 years...

I stopped being a fan a couple years into TNG.
What incredible timing, you managed to tune out just when TNG started getting good!
