    The problem is that forces a caste system, based on economic status in the real world, which determines your successfullness in the game. Some rich kid could go out and buy the game, and a good character in one day just so he can feel l33t. Whereas some people can't afford to spend more on the game then the monthly cost, are left in the dust.

    If they were to make specific servers where this was allowed it would be great, because then people that actually want to *play* the game can do so. (*hint hint*, Blizzard).

    If by Redhat, you mean 'all the software installed on your redhat system', then yes. But I have yet to see Windows Update patch all the software you have installed. Oh, and Redhat patches are usually to specific programs, whereas Windows patches are big collections.

    You can't really generalize a cut-off age and have it perfect for everybody. 18 is used because it's generally accepted that it's a time of 'maturity', which, by my observation isn't always true. I know MANY people that are over 20 that still don't understand the ramifications of having sex (espcially unprotected sex). Then again, I know peopel as young as 15 that *do* understand, and *are* responsible enough not to fsck up their lives.

    That isn't neccessarily true. I had a semi-large group of friends in high school. As hard as it is to believe sometimes there are people out there that aren't shallow. I don't believe my experience is a common one though.

    I'm willing to bet Winex 3.0 cvs doesn't have a fix for the glibc 2.3.2 bug (that makes everything not work). I know for a fact that it's fixed in 3.0 retail though. So your options are to switch to RH8 (or anothen non-glibc 2.3.2 distro) or buy it. Fun.

    WTF is Ballmer on. 4 years ago i paid $2500 for a P2 system. I can get a PIV, or Athlon XP system for less than $1000 now. How the hell can he tell me that prices havn't gone down? What about Walmart's PCs. Cheapest things I've ever seen.
