  4. This could actually be really cool... on Hydrogen Fuel Cells Running On Sunflower Oil · · Score: 4, Insightful

The modern Hydrogen economy has to get over a huge hurdle in the wide-scale distribution network of H2.

Distribution for H2 is pathetically inefficient. In order to ship it at an efficient level, they have to compress it into liquid form. That takes up a lot of energy, along with the associated costs of now transporting a very cold liquid (yeah - not very energy efficient either).

If H2 can be made using a novel approach, you can minimize the huge potential transport and distribution costs by setting up a lot of small production facilities (local refineries?).

This could be a pretty big deal.

The game has a half-life story.

What you and everyone else that says this fails to remember, is this.

Doom 3 is a REMAKE of Doom. That's right. They said years ago that they weren't going to do anything but recreate the game using a new, fantastic, groundbreaking engine (maybe i added those adjectives, but it was implied).

Doom was out before Half-life. Half-life was built on an id engine.

So what you are saying is that Doom 3 is a half-life game, which was a Doom game...

    Doom 3 = Half-life = Doom, ergo Doom 3 = Doom.

    BRILLIANT!!!!

I'm also annoyed that people like you are complaining about the darkness and the flashlight. I think it's a great idea to have the audience sweat it out in the dark, panicking about whether or not they've hit anything. It's called tension. It's called a new gameplay method. It's called frightening. Obviously you can turn up the gamma and wash out the rest of the environment, but what fun would that be? I think the flashlight being treated as a weapon is one of the most immersive ideas that has come out of any studio in a long time.

I've waited a long time to play this game, and i am not being disappointed. I've waited a long time to play HL2, and i'm sure i won't be disappointed by that either.

9 times out of 10, when you're shooting someone or something, you need to prioritize what the focus of the photo is supposed to be, and fill the frame with it. The rest of the composition usually falls into place.

I'd have to agree with the salt comment. Too many people leave salt for the table, where it only adds flavor to the finished product. If you season (salt) your food while you cook (i.e. sweating onions? add some salt to flavor and draw out the water) you develope layers of flavor that are stacked on top of one another. Overall, your food will taste better, and you won't have to salt it at the table (which may be a hard habit to break at first).

I get your point, and it annoys me that it the MPAA is saying that I'm only licensed to view the video in it's prescribed manner, on an authorized device.

But I have a question - isn't this a bit like the label on a can of spray paint - you know the one - it's unlawful to use this product in any manner other than its intended use (I'm paraphrasing). If I buy a can of silver spray paint from Walmart and then huff it in my living room for 30 minutes, I'm breaking the law. Not because i don't own the paint in the can, but because i'm using the paint in a manner that isn't in line with its intended use.

Now, if I buy a DVD, what am i buying - the video, right (it's not like i'm buying a game, which is in fact only a license to play the game, really)? Does it say anywhere on that DVD that I can only use it in a manner prescribed by the manufacturer? I mean - there's a FBI warning about not copying it, but i'm pretty sure I have to actually watch it to see that warning. But to my knowledge, it doesn't state anywhere that I've only purchased the right to view the video on prescribed hardware under a specific license agreement.

    Does it?

Here are some plot overviews from joblo.com:

This movie looks kick-ass. I hop it's going to have worldwide distribution, or at least worldwide DVD distribution.

Plot #1 : (Loosely Translated from the Official Site)
The great 50 year war continues, as for the world is divided into two camps: Asian federal republic and European combination.

On an end of a long fight, Asian federal republic wins control over the East Asian Eurasian continent. But the victory caused a great devastation of human nature. The actions of chemical weapons and germ weapons resulted in major chemical injuries and a large "radioactivity" virus.

Doctor Higashi, whose wife is suffering from the "radioactivity" illness, creates a "new structure cell" theory ... a theory that would create a new powerful human structure and a new life body. (Casshern?)

Though dismissed by the hygienic ministry, Higashi continues his research with the help from a troop of authorized personnel (who is utilizing the theory because of their own selfish desire).

    Plot #2 :
Made for 5 billion yen, "Casshern" tries to address the idealistic question proposed in Shakespear's "Hamlet" (Why do people fight with each other?) It is also a continuation of the Japanese animation, "Shinzou Ningen Casshern" which was broadcasted back in 1973. A riot occurs within the robots that were made to clean up environmental pollution. As a result, a professor of robotic engineering revised his "son" Casshern to calm the riot.

    Plot #3 :
The world has taken a different path as we know it today. The great war has gone on for 50 years and the world is divided into two groups, the Republic of Asia and the European Union. After the long battle, the Republic of Asia came out as the victor and it has come to take over the Eurasian Continent. However, the only thing that came out of this was the demise of the human spirit, chemical weapons, germ warfare, viruses derived from nuclear bombs, the prognostic symptoms of radioactivity, and the razed land. Will mankind just sit there and look at the fall of its kind?
