  1. but, doesn't coffee come hot? on Coming Soon: Self-Heating Coffee · · Score: 1

I mean, why would you want to reheat coffee? I've always thought it tastes like ass when it's reheated. Are we going to go through a sun coffee rage like the in the 80's? Or is this for people that take more than 30 minutes to drink a cup of coffee...

If people knew their machines were becoming pieces of crap over time because of flaws and vulnerabilities in their operating system and Internet browser, don't you think they would buy and use an alternative?

  5. How did they get it so wrong? on Star Wars Galaxies System Revamps · · Score: 3, Interesting

I played SWG for about 4 months in beta, and about 6 months after release. My questions is, how did they get this so wrong? I mean, combat and loot are two MAJOR gameplay components.

This is a design flaw that was either overlooked or ignored because of the rush to release a product that wasn't ready for release. Either way, this is a project management issue, and should not be tolerated. Why should players wait 1.5 years after release for fundamental game systems to be fixed - especially while paying a monthly fee?

However, i can imagine a time where traffic is backed up due to an accident or lane closure, and the car takes over to avoid the issues usually associated with merging traffic and rubber-necking. I think this is where this type of technology will really shine. People will be more likely to hand over control in these low-speed situation, especially if it rewards them, i.e. gets them through the mess sooner.

I was pretty impressed with the new Spiderman CG series that appeared on MTv after the first movie. Besides being voiced by some bad choices - Ian Ziering from Beverly Hills 90210 voiced Harry, and Jewel was MJ, and Peter Parker was voiced by Doogie Howser MD it was a good series that served as a good arc between movies.

However, they did have some fresh villians - one of the things that the first Spiderman series (with Iceman and Firestorm), and the animation was really cool - especially all of the self casting shadows.

If this new cartoon (let's face it, they're still cartoons) is as good as that.

I also think you can get the new series on DVD now.
