If by "complexity", you mean "ability to do micromanagement like a hyper-active hamster on crack"; then you're right.
The *craft series is for people who like to click around like a maniac, TA was for people who liked to use their brains to handle strategic and tactical problems.
I mean, Blizzard even admitted that they limited the building queue sizes and the amount of units you can select at one time on purpose, because it would make the game more "intense" ! I've never forgiven them for making SC a clickfest, and I never will.
Assuming there actually is infringing code in the kernel: the problem for SCO is that, if they indicate which parts of the kernel exactly are infringing, then those lines would be replaced very rapidly by non-infringing code.
This wouldn't help SCO, because they don't want it to be fixed: they want money, and replacement of the code wouldn't get them any.
This one time I was playing Soldier of Fortune 2, with the gore level up to the max. Just for the heck of it, I was curious in how many ways you could mutilate someone. So I found some woman in a room somewhere, and proceeded to kill and maim her in various ways, reloading and trying again when she died.
After a bit, I started to feel almost physically ill because of all the horrible stuff I was seeing, and I stopped.
Now, after all that, I still play violent games, and kill people in them for fun, but now and again I feel slightly uneasy when I slaughter someone in some horrible way.
So my point is that realistic violence can teach people that violence is bad. Not that I didn't know it before (duh), but because of SoF2, it's all in a slightly sharper focus than before.
And if you'll excuse me now, I have to go kill someone.
Um, that was the whole point of the article dude. He was saying that because it was the first big MMORPG, it's going to stay that way forever.
If it had been something else, then that something else would have been the first and the biggest, and still be that way today, and all alternatives would only strengthen its position.
It's not wrong, but it still doesn't work. The amount of cash you need to be able to overcome bad streaks is far too large to be able to win a reasonable amount.
Um. Invented at MIT ? I thought Go was invented somewhere in China, 3000 years ago. Short of using a time machine, I don't think it's possible for MIT to have invented Go...
The pre-order pages on amazon or whatever have been up for years, and they have ALWAYS had a date on them. Those dates have always been wrong. They're just guessing. The NWN team has always said not to believe pre-order dates or whatever. So I don't.
Summary: Bio sez: We're aiming for summer 2002. Amazon sez: we need a specific date, we'll put june so and so. Bio sez: whatever.
The plan has always been and still is to release all 3 versions in the same box. What has fallen through unfortunately is the Linux and Mac version of the toolset - that will be Windows only.
The actual game however will be for all 3 systems, and in the same box.
Whee :-P
It's not a sequel. It's a "spiritual successor". It's almost, but not quite, what TA2 would've been, but in a completely different universe.
As long as it doesn't answer "African or European?" to the question "What is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow ?", it's just not ready yet.
It was cancelled.
Ah ! But he didn't shoot the deputy. That's the difference !

Ok so this isn't about GTA - sue me.

I'm sticking to Media Player 6, the last good media player.
All the others are bloatware and lack even simple resizing features.
So what if the livelihoods of people that rely on existing economic models are rendered obsolete ?!? Just replicate them some food !
Yeah, it's amazing. It's also complete and utter nonsense. I don't believe a word of it and you shouldn't either.
So true. Mod parent up.

Let's hope they don't, otherwise the manual will be worthless.
Hint: Cut & Paste != Copy & Paste
There will be at least 2 "sequels" for TA:
The first is now being made by some Korean company, will probably be called "TA 2", and will probably suck.
The second is in pre-pre-pre-production, will be made by Chris Taylor's company Gas Powered Games, and will ROCK YOUR WORLD.
No paragraphs make baby jesus cry
Yadda yadda yadda. If the world worked like that, we'd all be living in cages.
Up yours. I'm going to talk French when _I_ want to, which is never. French sucks ass.
