I learned C++ when the first affordable compilers became available for the PC, about 15 years ago. I even wrote a multitasking kernel using C++. Then I didn't use it for a long time. When I returned, it seemed Java had been developed and B.S. apparently revamped C++ to look more like Java.
It's either Plain Old C, or so full of hacks and obfuscation that it was unreadable (or at least unfollowable). I mean, when you see 'friend' everywhere, that can't be a good sign.
Geez, the next thing you know those wizards will invent some way to send speech over some kind of electromagnetic gizmo for long distances. Then comes the music and other stuff. Then comes the rightwing nutcase talk shows. Where will it all end?
SIPs are basically styrofoam with plywood or OSB exteriors. Don't let them get too hot (i.e. like in a fire) or the foam will melt/burn/produce toxic fumes/etc.
BTW, the article mentions this (i.e. the inflatable structures) won second place in a competition.
Yeah, first he said she used her cell phone. When someone pointed out that wouldn't work he changed it to a collect call from an airphone, since she didn't have her purse. I don't know what his story changed to when someone pointed out that you need a credit card to get the phone out of the seatback.
Let's see - my M-B ML320 battery went dead on a Saturday morning and I was without a car for 4 days. I replaced the battery immediately, and the car started up but it refused to accelerate. I had to have it towed to the dealer on Monday and got it back Tuesday afternoon.
How far will you be able to drive when your Bose Suspension computer gets confused? Give me analog until they get right.
I recently moved, and am now about 2 poles past the end of the TV cable. I haven't decided whether or not to get satellite (probably DirectTV if I do).
Also, I can't get high speed Internet. How's Direcway?

Does Apple plan on releasing it?
I'd switch in a hearbeat.
I might even pay.
Here's a hint: You could operate on weekends. Yeah, that's right, then the customer wouldn't have a 4-day delay if they returned a disc on Friday.

Maybe someone can dig out the specs for the first spellchecker.
I haven't Hird anything about it in years. How's it going?
BTW, the article says something like "Then it doesn't matter if you code in C# or Java."
When did they port C# to Linux, BSD, OSX, VxWorks, Symbian, etc, etc?

Just imagine when the Do-It-Yourself kits become available. Think of all the botched first time projects.
"What's that thing on the end of your dick?"
"That was supposed to be a third eye."
BTW, I used to think the ultimate in body mutilation was going to be plexiglass skull windows.
DefCon is so, well, you know, old.

As in badkittycam.com? She was Vanna Vinyl a few times.
Write a parody of this whole thing and use the title Penguin.com.
I used to do that in the 1960's and 70's, but now I just stick with wine and beer.
I downloaded Mandrake yesterday, installed it today, booted up, ran Mozilla and went straight to /., where I found this story.
Would it kill you to spell-check first?
It's GRAMMAR.
Nothing new here. I knew a guy who once wrote a mag tape driver in COBOL.
If he was working in quantum physics....
But then it would be the "terrible 10's" wouldn't it?
