Nerds play quake. You are in the minority my friend. Also, stuff about John Carmack is Linux/Unix/Tech news. He is one of the only gaming software developers that feels Linux is an OS worth supporting. If you really don't want to hear it just go into your preferences and turn off games.

p.s. Yes I know iD Software isn't the only developer of linux games, but we aren't talking about Loki, etc... that would be off topic

Then it hit me. This is the ultimate encrypted language. I went to work immediatly. I created an encryption program that converts real english into h4x0r-ese. I use it all the time. I'm all burnt out on starwars. Mabye they should spread out the release dates a little more so all the people who were dissapointed with the last installment will have forgotten about it totally. That is how they caught people like my father. He was real excited about Episode I because he rememebered all the good things about starwars, and when he walked out he felt about as ripped off as he did when he walked out of Return of the Jedi.

Note to Lucas: Teach your kids how to make crummy movies so they can mooch off the pleasant memories of days past by making new starwars movies.

Another nice thing is if your laptop bag breaks you can replace it for $100, if your laptop exterior breaks you have to replace the laptop or buy another case ($400 + $100 for the installation. The manufacturers don't have to worry about making anything compatible with anything other than itself. This means they can develop software specifically for the hardware, and they don't have limitations like trying to code a 128-bit port of windows (or linux, or MACOS, or *BSD, or IRIX, or Solaris, AMIGAOS, *, *, ...). You get more power with proprietary things. It is also easier on the companies pockets to opensource to software becuase they will make all the money off of the hardware.
