Several years ago when I had the iPhone 3G, I was using the GPS on the map app as I drove around Lake Tahoe. Sometimes the GPS said I was on the other side of the lake, other times the GPS told me I was driving in the middle of the lake.
Didn't the automakers say that their cars would crash multiple times a day if they ran Windows? This was in response to Gates saying if the auto industry moved as fast as the computer industry, their cars would get 1000 miles per gallon.
When you put all your pages and/or friends into a list, you will see EVERYTHING they post in reverse chronological order. Much better than the unpredictable news feed.
Wonder if it will cost them more than $3 million to deal with the fallout from the breach of 40K customers. Perhaps it would have been cheaper to pay the ransom.
So, I guess Windows 7 will be the last Windows OS that I use. Hopefully by the time new games stop supporting it, Linux will have the support of new games.
Even Windows 7 has the same issues that Windows 10 has with telemetry updates, etc.
> the day after Thanksgiving marked the occasion when America's stores finally turned a profit.
This myth always gets repeated, but is very wrong. Just look at any publicly traded retailer, and the profitable ones report a profit every single quarter, not just the fourth quarter.
"In their quest to attract shoppers, stores will partner with big-name manufacturers to create "derivative models" — stripped-down versions of pre-existing TVs. These TVs, made specifically for Black Friday, are often not as good as the model they're based on: The picture may be lesser quality, or the warranty may be altered. There could be some missing features or components....... Most notably, Best Buy's model lacks smart TV features, and doesn't offer as many settings: It has just two different aspect ratios to choose from, while the non-Best Buy-specific version has six."
Lacking smart TV features is a good thing.
> But what happens when you're sitting at home, watching Netflix or Youtube on your phone, and your wifi router craps out? I'm thinking it might automatically switch to cellular without me knowing about it, and there goes my 4 GB for the month.
That already happened on my iPad with iOS 8. Yeah 8, not 9.
Forget about trading. Just invest and watch your account go up. The stock market is up 200% over the past 6 years, and it's nowhere near done. After having 2 huge crashes in 8 years (2000 and 2008), the central banks will NOT allow another crash so soon - that would wipe out all confidence in the system and they can't have that.
"First Patrick Jean gets to watch them violate his work and now they're claiming that his work violates theirs."
No, Patrick Jean isn't being violated at all - he licensed the movie to Happy Madison:

Surely they still have the music and can create more copies if they wanted.
Beta driving software might still be better than the average human driver.

It's weak.

I'm surprised Apple's lawyers allowed their secret corporate practices to be publically revealed.

Time to get a customer-owned modem!
Like what? Motorola? Arris owns Motorola's cable modem business.
That allowed a single program to freeze the entire OS.
Yeah I search for \<i\> all the time. Either that or search for i while checking the "Whole Word" box.
Yeah George Takei posts a lot of those. I was hoping Amazon would ban him, but I guess not.
I thought I heard Windows 7 is getting some of those forced updates too.
Correct me if I'm wrong but this sort of thing happens regardless of which country you came back from.
Those Laser guys drive up in their own cars.

Wow they just come right out and admit it.
Good thing I never signed up for G+
