  1. Re:Any good NES clones out there? on The Reality of Patent Expirations for the NES · · Score: 3, Interesting

For about $50 bucks you get about 100 games built in, so it's a good deal. A friend of mine has an NES clone built into a clone of an N64 controller that outputs to the TV...it also includes an extra controller and light gun that plugs into the main controller, along with 100 or so games.

Your friend needs to chop it up and build one of these.

Most fundementalists do not consider Catholics "Christian". They have a long, boring explanation of why this is so.

From what I can dig out of their "logic", it has something to do with John the Baptist (or so my Grandmother used to say).

The fundementalists consider the Pope the "Whore of Rome" or even the Antichrist, so I don't them being swayed by what the Vatican says.

Thanks to the "No Child Left Behind" act, military recruiters have the phone numbers of many teens. These guys don't take "don't call me again" for an answer.

The second time they call, ask for their commanding officer's name and phone number. When they ask why, tell them you need it when you call the local TV station about his rude behavior and harassment.

    He won't call again.

You know, on a global scale, how we define "poor" and "poverty" is kind of silly.

I have read that ~90% (seems high to me) of the world's population has never made a phone call. Probably a majority of people in the world have substandard food, water and shelter.

Yet in the western world, we define "poverty" as not being able to afford broad-band, or only having one game console, or only having basic cable.

Unless the parent(s)are total crack-heads, do any kids in the US REALLY go hungry? Call me a right wing fascist, but I find that hard to beleive. Food is cheap and plentiful here. You may not be able to afford steak, but most of the world lives on rice and beans, if they can get them.

    We are SO spoiled.
