i've been tortured with the realtek problems with these boxen we sell where i work. we constantly have problems with dropped packets, and collisions one a friggin full duplex 100mb network.
i didnt say that the don's realtek driver is sub-optimal just to be an ass, but that i have come across some very real, very repeatable problems with don's 8139c driver.
i thought it was the cheak-ass chip that was the root of our problems, but doing similar tasks with using identical hardware, but a w2k/wince OS and vendor provided drivers - and we got much, much, much better results...
i'm stuck here in philly, nigel richards hasnt made any acid tech in forever, and when i was able to come across (all used) 5 nitrites, a couple of choci's chewns, a bunch of old stay up forever... and some alien traxx... i'm on cloud nine...
you suck you suck you suck.
the only people that suck more than you are people who live in rotterdam.
tell ya what - i do everything you do, except i only drive a half hour each way. i manage to pay my bills, carry no debt (except college loans) and have a nice portfolio, and i manage to do this on a moderate pay scale.
maybe you need to re-evaluate your personal economy and decide if you are being as efficient as you can be. thats not a slam, thats a suggestion - working two jobs is not particularly healthy, and i bet that you can save more money than you make at your second job by trying to reduce expenses, and not affect your quality of life at all.
i'd start with tracking how much money you spend on eating out. I did and found i was spending 1400/month dining out - a totally ridiculous number.
as for your rant against the social safety net, i hope that you never need them.
thats one of the funniest things i've read here in a while...
and sony will make the platform.
nintendo designed games on the playstation??? ouch.
thats not what this guy is talking about - he's talking about chargebacks.
chargebacks are legally protected, and dont damage your credit history at all.
he's a troll, and by making this post, i guess IHBT
onboard - 2.2.20 kernel...

In Japan, "magic mushrooms" are still legal.
you suck.

where the hell are you getting acid tech at?
... i just inherited a bunch from a collection of a US East coast Pioneer... yummy yummy acid tech/trance...
no one has made that in like 5 years...
i'm still digging to get a good enuff acid trance (not goa) collection.
and
yeh, i hated that...
like Bard's TAle - who the hell designed that?
>I expect to see an aerobatic display by flying
>pigs before I see an efficient program.
they used to exist before this thing called "microsoft" came around...
i have this sneaky suspicion that old, crotchety programmers who know how to tighten loops are going to become much more sought after...
and, we're all going to get a lesson on why "goto" was a good thing...
have you ever used his realtek driver?
i would say, no, you havent.
my argument may not hold wateer, but not for the reasons you said.
better examples would be Washington DC, Guam and puerto rico - protectorates, taxed, yet no representation.
first of all, the boston tea party was about a tax imposed by a foreign power, and not a local (or federal) govt.
second of all, you list corporate bailouts and defence as two seperate entities...
and... if you think poindexter was bad, what do you think of kissinger?
all your base belong to a beowulf cluster of natalie portman's with hotgrits down their pants
3) PROFIT!!!
maybe MS will figure out how to handle CAL's
fuggin licence server... biggest POS i've ever seen...
there are very, very, very few CMM-5 shops...
and unless you are developing truly "mission critical" applications - as in - people will die if your shit dont work, CMM-5 is a bit of overkill...
IT/APp programming sucks...
:-)
but us system engineers are doing ok, thanks
if thats true, i want to see the outtake
OB/2 all the way babeee YEHHHH!!!
at least you were advocating WWiV or telegard...
funy how 16k L2 cache just doenst cut it...
bullshit.
there is a growing trend is business to use whatever is "good enough" and cheapest.
it aint MS.
flamebait?
:-)
yikes... mods on crack again
so, you compile your compiler from source, right and build everything from scratch?
cuz thats the only way to be sure.
i ended up having to learn fortran when i was working at a HPC company...
bleh...
and, i too, am unfortunate enough to know cobol.
though, i think i'd rather be sentenced to listen to Fran Drescher laughing for the rest of my life than do a project in cobol.
its sad because you use it as a bragging point.
