Oh, come on! a) Not one single ever PC crash has been due to "Pentium bug", right? b) That was during Pentium 60/66 days, man! Frankly I've never even seen one of those. c) Don't blame hardware when you know that 99% crashes are due to software (and remaining.99% are due to dust and faulty power supplies). That's just silly.
Frankly IMHO it was backwards. If you recall de-facto 3.1x standard was 8pt _bold_ fonts on _white_ background. '95 had (and still mostly has) _thin_ (single-pixel) fonts on _grey_ background. Guess what's more readable? When you're using GUI for many straight hours you appreciate the difference.
That thingy called Linux also writes stuff to bootsectors I heard and now all you *NIXoids are happy with it, eh? And when any other program does that it's suddenly all that bad. Shows how fair you are!:)
How's that possible?? I admit I don't know much about this stuff but P in GPRS stays for "packet". How do you measure usage time? Do you check time windows between packets and if they are small enough you assume that phone is "online" or what?
... is that oopses like this one have exactly zero impact on their market share, companies' acceptance of MS "solutions" etc... This is not a free market as known for ages, definitely.
- So you say that super-duper 4 in 1 chip is only 1.5 GHz, right? [Thinks he does not run 4 MSWord's or 4 Quake's at once]. Wrap me that 1._7_ GHz Celeron then! [Vroomm!!!]
And what's next? Let's see who can afford better hitmen to kill better lawyers? Or what?

I liked the "whitespace" joke better.

Most people have Windows partitions first. So - it won't do much damage...

Funny how Office XP fails this.
Well - if you wish so, you can put your head into microwave right now without waiting for the future to come.

A hub looking like a hedgehog.
Shouldn't it be under "It's funny...", not "Y.R.O."?
Wow, doesn't look bad. Anyone care to test this new stuff against ReiserFS?
"Is it possible that something good is coming out of Redmond?"
No.

Considering that in Cyrillic "y" is "u" (oo) many people call MySQL "muscle" (moo-school).
Yep :w
Do you guys want to defeat Sadam in CounterStrike or what?
"And why not? If it does the job, why should I care when the processor was made?"
And what exactly job does your brand new i286 (8MHz) CPU do?
"el-cheapo desktop Athlons"
;))
Just because something does not ruin your montly budget does not make smth "el cheapo".. Just wanted to avoid wrong stereotypes.
(Hey, go back to your "leeto" PIV suck-o-matic
Hardly. My bet that VB's "Integer" will still be 16-bit.
Now - if some oil tanker sinks it is appropriate that state is involved. But this? Shouldn't this be MS's (and vendors' in general) job.
How's that possible??

While we're on it - what's the "right" way to disable splash screen once and for all? (Windows & Linux).
