I think I just heard some whining noise coming from the cable..... Pirate companies like Netflex, Amazon Prime, or Hulu no longer require you to have entire packages with the cable company.... Wait, those are actually legal companies people are watching shows on now..... Cable Cutters Untie!!! and Snip!!
And I was about to say what people have said back in the 90s and 2000s. It's going to take years for the chinese to catch up to the U.S. in technology.
Funny thing is people kept saying that and now look at where the chinese are with technology?
Something I've noticed is that many companies don't train from within their company. The company I work for, I rarely see any entry level positions in any area unless it's helpdesk. Most positions that are in other areas are tier 2 or tier 3 which are considered more "senior" type positions where I'm at. Just seems like a gap between the young and the experienced.
After reading the article and also listening to some of Eli the computer guy Youtube videos, I feel that I am slowly seeing the beginnings of a Google death. Eli pointed out that if you look at the numbers for Youtube's business performance, technically they are in the red and loosing money. If you look at many of Google's other projects, they try stuff then turn around and keep scrapping it after a while, like a kid bored with their toy. Lastly, google may have a bunch of geniuses but they've been really lacking with the business mind. For example, people use youtube to make money as a business, however if something happens to your channel you have to jump through hoops to get it fixed.
I doubt it's really hacking but rather people not understanding how/why they need to change the default admin username and password. Many of the recent major hacks have been due to default admin password not being changed.
I could see this thing driving down the road and the horn says "GET OUT OF THE WAY YOU HAG!", "I GOT THE QUEEN OF ENGLAND, MOVE!". Anyways some of those college students need someone yelling at them to walk faster.
If they are smart they should make 2 models, one with the headphone jack and one without. See which one sells and determine if they should stick with it.
Didn't they recently say that many scientific papers/studies cannot be replicated? I've also heard that many of the global warming studies don't include the solar cycles the sun goes through as well.
I personally find cell phone batteries in general dangerous. I remember a number of years ago when apple was going through something similar with Cell batteries catching fire. If I remember correctly there was an Iphone that did catch fire on the plane and burned a seat. All you need to do is simply damage almost any kind of cell battery and it can go up in smoke.
I'm in favor of ISPs / streaming video companies to just deny any usage of their product in PA. Thus deny the tax and get people upset at the government.
"WHAT IF THE BUSINESS DOESN’T COLLECT THE TAX?
The customer should report the 6 percent tax on the purchase as use tax on their Pennsylvania personal income tax return the following year."
How is anyone going to track this to let the government know what they've streamed and pay it? On the flip side, it could be used as a catch all to incriminate anyone.
I agree, one thing people forget about are protocols such as VOIP which kind of needs to have a priority over other protocols. It's kind of the reason MPLS has been developed because some protocols need to be a bit more real-time than others.
It's kind of a catch-22 situation. 1. We don't want ISPs to be preventing specific traffic for their own greedy purposes. 2. As technology progresses, there maybe more protocols that need real time "priority" over others, should these protocols be slowed or placed on the same priority as everything else.
Life's just not fair, nor should we treat every protocol the same.
Just getting tired about all this diversity stuff and not enough with just simply having the best workers. If they want diversity why does this seem to be limited to the Technology area and not to other areas like medicine? For examples most nurses are women, you don't hear them saying they need more men in nursing?
Here's my thing is that tons of people die from drunk drivers and random physical ailments which then turn to an accident. I would argue that self driving cars would allow those people who would drive drunk or those slow elderly to get around safer.
The down side is that with the nice security features built(Not) into cars, hackers could always have a self driving car go off a cliff.
The United States really isn't a Republic or Democratic.... Based off of some recent studies I've seen, It's more of an oligarchy. Notice how it's big money pushing laws and not the average citizen.
I agree completely with the author. However one of the biggest challenges is that formal education runs on a time table which some people simply need more time in certain areas. However when involved with formal education you cannot simply put a class on hold for a single person. So the person who does need more time will never get it, especially if they're going for a 4 year degree. It's funny how the educated forget how the human mind can take time to grow when learning something new.
I'm getting tired about all this female/women stuff. What about us men??? What about Prostate Cancer awareness? I barely see anything about male awareness stuff unless it involves Viagra...
I was working for Time Warner Cable Tier 3 Helpdesk getting the free internet TWC had for being an employee. I'm finding that having fiber is much simpler even with multi-mode fiber as well as cleaner signal. The Coax Cable TWC uses for their MAXX speeds runs over 16 Freq for download and about 4-8 Freq for upload. That being said, if any of those Freq have issues on them, you can't get the full speed.
Another issue we kept running into with the faster speeds was equipment. Modems not processing the speeds, gig NICs with driver issues on the PCs, poor ethernet cables.....etc. Also just because something is advertised as 10/100 does not necessarily mean you can get 100Mbps same goes for a gig card. Quality of the equipment does matter as well.
All I will say to this is; What happens in the Cloud, does not stay in the Cloud. Then tell the boss to ask Ashley Madison. I'm betting their site was in the cloud. They say something like "there's 38,920,000 anonymous reasons".
It don't matter which OS you use. If you don't got the right people to admin it, you don't got the right people.

It's really only a 256mb card that when you record video or pictures on it, it rewrites the data and only appears to be 400GB.

I'm a millennial and I don't expect to retire either. I'm wondering where they get this information from.
Wasn't there recently a report that went out about IBM switching to Apple due to the savings on support?

Well, I got my Free Pizza.. Who would turn that down unless on a diet. Everyone loves free food.

Recently discovered that Verizon is mainly using IPv6 so... Yes it would be easy with that many addresses to allocate.
