  1. Re:What games can a DIY console builder buy? on Sony Officially Ends Production of PS Vita (polygon.com) · · Score: 1

They'd be running emulators for retro games... not sure what I'm missing here. Why are we talking about "native" games?

  2. Re:What games can a DIY console builder buy? on Sony Officially Ends Production of PS Vita (polygon.com) · · Score: 1

Pi can't handle PSP games anyway, but this isn't really a thread about native games... Also, there are quite a few cases available to buy/print for mobile Pi units. In any case, your best bet is to run RetroPie for emulation. Nobody's buying a Pi for "native" games.

The P3b+ is pretty solid. It can handle about everything up to (and including) the PS1.

  4. Re:So... build your own instead? on Sony Officially Ends Production of PS Vita (polygon.com) · · Score: 1

Pi's can't handle PSP emulation all that well. Also, it'd probably run you about the same cost if not more to hack up your own portable system.

  5. This whole things smells fishy. For one, any country that allows Huawei to build the 5G shit is allowing a foreign government to have control of their telecommunications infrastructure which just sounds bad regardless - even if it were Canada or the US, it'd still seem like a bad idea.

The fact that China is really pushing so hard makes it seem (at least to me) that they are lowballing on the offer and taking a financial hit... to me, because their payoff is getting access to an entire country's telecommunication system... Which again, sounds like something you wouldn't want a foreign country to be able to easily tap into...

This entire story stinks of victim blaming and bullshit.
