    It's interesting how you measure wealth, historically wealth was measured by land, gold, and gemstones. There's no argument that by that definition per capita wealth is much lower.

    You prefer to measure it by access to health care (and possibly tv channels?), which I will agree that by your terms at least, people are somewhat better off, though still likely not better than US Americans when there was a stronger middle class (because there really haven't been any wonderful medical advances since 1960 or so). The point is, people benefit from having jobs that pay a good wage, not robots that take those jobs away. That's true unless you're the top 0.01% - those people may benefit from screwing the middle and working class, but even that remains to be seen.

    That's his whole point. He's arguing for slowing down automation so that everyone doesn't lose their jobs all at once.

    Typical Christian "trash the hotel room" mentality. That's why I worry about them more than Muslims.

    I'm on the left and I'm actually pro-coal. I'd love to see Ohio and PA voters working in coal mines well into the next century since it's so important to them.

    Coal gets an instant return on investment, you chuck it into the fire and you get heat. Solar has a future payout. It's hard to believe that you can't grasp that concept but let's put it another way: nobody is starting new coal mining operations, but plenty of smart investors are getting into solar. Why do you think that is?

    That's the wrong way to look at it. Let's take a look at how much power $100 worth of solar panels generates over 20 or 30 years vs $100 worth of coal.

    Public schools are basically just warehouses where children are stored so their parents can get some work done. We need smart people in charge though, and that's why everyone is comfortable with Trump's pick for education secretary, who has never been warehoused in such a place or let her children be warehoused in such.

    Exposure to peanuts will either cause no symptoms or allergy symptoms depending on the baby. If they cause allergy symptoms and don't kill the baby, then you have successfully administered homeopathy.
