    The local union here makes sure to argue that they spend at least the same number of hours as "regular" workers during the year due to marking, lesson planning, professional development, etc. This is to emphasize, of course, that they're underpaid.

    I've lived in several places across the country (Canada) and this argument remains constant.

    Hitachi's current product, the Mu-chip, has a supposed reading range of 400mm with a 54mm antenna.

    Dunno what the proposed range and antenna requirements for the new chip will be.

    On the religion divide:
    Bosniaks -- mostly Muslim (Sunni and some Sufi) and Agnostic/Atheist
    Serbs -- mostly Orthodox Christian
    Croats -- mostly Roman Catholic

    I'd also add that compared to many products of near or comparable age, e.g., vcrs, modern tvs, etc., computers and software are the among the few consumer devices that the user is asked to tolerate a high degree of unreliability, unintuitive/complex interfaces and/or a great deal of self maintenance/support -- not to mention the high degree of obsolescence without recourse for exchange/upgrade.

    For those people that hope to regard computers as a tool that you configure/setup once and it'll just work, computers and software have been a huge letdown.
