I find it amusing that apple suddenly has a problem with "hacker methods", when it was blue boxing that funded the two Steve's garage project over 20 years ago.
This seems to be completely at odds with the speech Steve Wozniak gave at The Fifth H.O.P.E.(Hackers on planet earth) conference earlier this month.
The NY times article is at: http://tinyurl.com/3wyo4
From a new york times article:
Wozniak, a founder of Apple Computer, was speaking to the choir Saturday at a conference in Midtown Manhattan, recalling an era when the word "hackers" referred to technological wizards, not rogue computer users....
Mr. Wozniak described his relationship with John T. Draper, a man who became known as "Captain Crunch" 35 years ago when he showed how a plastic whistle that came in Cap'n Crunch cereal boxes could be used to manipulate the national phone system......
Mr. Wozniak said he had not cared that the technology could save him a few dimes. Rather, he said, he found it wonderful that a simple tool, cleverly used, could control something complicated and powerful in a forbidden way.....
Like putting Realmedia files on an Ipod?
Just food for thought,
Aparently hacking is ok when it suits your company or makes you money, and it's rougue and dangerous when it threatens your business model.
The sidekick requires the use of the Danger backend to process all the internet data. Therefore unless you are signed up with a Sidekick plan, your device will not get any data.
Then Snoop Dawg and Jerry stiller showed up to make sure it wasnt an AOL CD.
They said something about you'd be better off using a Academy Screen to finish your Fish art thingy, then AOL 9.0!
God, would I have loved to be on the set for the filming for that one.
The white couple laughing when snoop comes in is so fake it's completely hilarious. That and the fact that Snoop looks like he's about to throw down makes it priceless.
I dunno, to me 9/11 is more then simple domestic violence. It represents an act of massive suscide and murder, not simple violence.
So when I see it being used as reasoning to change attitudes about street violence, I feel it's misplaced.
To me the only people who would have been changed, gut level by 9-11 would be people at the scene, to me, educated, informed people would be pondering the conditions in the rest of the world on a regular basis, so such an attack on america would be shocking yes, but unfathomable? no.
Hasn't anyone here heard of IRLP - Internet Radio Linking Project www.irlp.net
This is one of the coolest things ham radio has done recently. Basically you attach a simple ham radio repeater to a broadband connection, run some software, then let it fly.
Hams then connect to the repeater with their radios. Use the numeric keypad to send commands (DTMF tones) and the interface will connect to another repeater via the broadband connection.
So a ham with a handheld can connect to a repeater in Chicago, enter the numeric code for California, and both repeaters will be connected. so anything said in chicago is broadcast in California and vice versa. This makes long range communication very easy with extremely low power radios. If anyone here runs a repeater or is part of a radio club I would highly recommend adding this ability to your repeater.
108 duh.
Now reset the clock alrady.
Anyone have a cached copy of the new (lamer) logo?
Damn I hate comcast.
I saw the guys who did Re-code.com at 2600's 5th hope this summer in NYC. Basically you could create a barcode for any item, and print them.
Finally they closed down because of pressure from walmart and huge legal fees needed to fight them.
But they got their point across, so I could see someone doing this quite easily. Now I'm wondering how they got caught.
I think the best thing to do it go to a walmart and just sticker random items, so that random people are buying the altered items.
There's a 10 min video on Re-code.com about the case. It's worth a quick viewing.
Seems like a way to say "I didnt put the sticker there!"
RealLocl sounds like a legit name
I did too, but I found it painfully slow to navigate the songs.
hate to say it buy you deserve to get screwed just for the fact you picked a bank with that gay a name.
5/3? WTF?
sounds like retarded math.
Yep, I'd trust those people with my money.

From the post I'm guessing you do events like weddings and such, I think there's a big difference between event DJ's and club/rave djs
they are completely different and need different hardware, regular djs never need to beatmatch or change pitch,
whereas club djs have to have complete control of the sound, that's why final scratch is amazing, and this hardware will be passed off as lame.

Why the fuck do people still feel the need to bring up 9/11 when it is completely offtopic.
Stop using it as a crutch.
And to further your personal beliefs.
Fuckers.
I'm signing this too. It's that important to me.

A friend of mine was targeted by this lawsuit,
I have placed scans of the 9 page pre-filing
that Directv sent him.
This is really a bad move, I'm hoping someone with some money to burn fights it since it's a DMCA issue.
