Until very recently, I owned and _LOVED_ a first generation Zune 30.
The Zune software makes iTunes look like an Excel spreadshet, is much lighter weight than iTunes, and includes features (group mix) that I actually like and used.
Eventually, though, I sold my Zune 30 because I was tired of having to hack it to get it work with my installation of Windows XP x64. I'll never understand why Microsoft intentionally left XP x64 out in the cold, but they did so I had to move on.
I replaced it with a Toshiba Gigabeat S60, so I essentially still have my Zune, with an upgraded hard disk size and minus the WiFi (which I rarely used anyway).
If Microsoft made the Zune compatible with XP x64 (officially), I'd be a Zune owner again in a heartbeat!
except that John C. Stennis graduated from my alma mater, Mississippi State University -- NOT University of Mississippi (Ole Miss). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_C._Stennis
However, as someone who's never illegally downloaded or uploaded music or movies or software over the Internet, this case really has no bearing on me personally.
Tell me again why this doesn't affect you. The *AA have shown again and again that the facts of the case really don't matter -- espescially when it comes to the method they use for identifying litigants, IP addresses. If your ISP has floating IP addresses, then this could easily become your problem.

This must be really prevalent. Our local theatre at Flatiron Crossing in Westminster, CO has a little, apparently hastily typed, note taped to the box office window claiming "due to the filming technique found in the movie CLOVERFIELD, it is not recommended for those prone to motion sickness".
Unless you live in a state that requires it (Mississippi, Alabama, most states in the southeast) as well as an ORIGINAL copy of your insurance and the bill of sale for the vehicle.
I fix my own machine, but I don't fix my car myself, and I expect the technician not to rummage through stuff I may have left in the boot, looking for thrills.
And it's your own damn fault if they decide to. I make it a point that whenever I have my vehicle serviced, whether a routine oil change or a more invasive procedure, that I have absolutely nothing of real import left in the vehicle. when I leave the car at the shop, I empty the glove box of all personal records that are otherwise required to be in the vehicle (the title, registration, etc.).
You can EXPECT them not to go through your stuff all you want, but your expectation is going to do little to actually stop them. Blind trust is the first step in getting oneself hurt.
obviously, you're unaware of the natural leakage of rechargeable batteries. even in the "off" position, most rechargeable batteries will discharge in a matter of weeks on the upper end.
exactly. Reader 8 is the first Acrobat that I don't mind using at all. In fact, I find the new interface quite intuitive. IMHO, the way the new Reader is laid out is what MS should've done instead of "ribbons" in the new MS Office.
Don't feel bad that it's happening on commerical flights. They're also trying to push through regulations to reqire the same advanced notice of private pilots BEFORE you take to the air and cross the border (in either direction). This may not sound like a big deal but the entire point of flying small aircraft is to be able to get to remote airports to enjoy the local culture or other event. That said, many of these remote airports don't have electricity, let alone high speed internet access required to submit the passenger and cargo manifests in order to get the FAA and TSA clearance (to be fair it's the TSA pushing this hard, not the FAA).
Ultimately I think this will fail because it puts too much of a hindrance on the "come and go as you please" life style of Americans. But, chalk another one up to FUD and security theatre.
since when? i'm a mississippian (though i now live in colorado). in mississippi the youngest age of consent (for sex) is 16 provided the partner is also a minor. for marriage, the legal age is 16 with parental consent and the two-week cooling off period for the marriage license is still required.
As many people are failing to notice from RTFA, this occurs when you CHOOSE to use windowsupdate.microsoft.com. It's not like Microsoft has hired electron ninjas to sneak into your computer every midnight and update files. If you have Windows Update turned off, then it won't ever be able to update anything (though you also won't be able to get new upgrades). So, the two ways to prevent this are: (A) disable Automatic Updates and (B) don't ever under any circumstances use windowsupdate.microsoft.com.
I hate Microsoft as much as anyone else, though I prefer to hate them for what they ACTUALLY do rather than the FUD that people attribute to them.
I think Palm's biggest oversight right now is not having native drivers for 64-bit variants of Windows. There are absolutely no hotsync USB drivers for Windows XP x64 or for Vista x64 (despite them using the "Designed for Vista" tags on their products).
I seriously doubt eBay will pull this auction simply because of the economics. The guy started the auction at $540USD and it's currently sitting at a little over $10kUSD. Just think of the commission that eBay is likely to get through auction start fees, auction close fees, and (likely) PayPal payment fees.
it doesn't appear he did anything to accommodate EMI separation between the two motherboards? Did I miss that part?

That's their company line and the technical support representative was simply stating as such. He didn't name-call or anything like that.
The "customer" on the other hand was angry and name-calling from the get-go.
exactly what I was thinking when I read TFA. We've already been here before and the industry decided that it didn't want vector rendering of the web.
it's obvious why -- climate change and solar warming! we need legislation to fix this problem.

my initial reaction EXACTLY.

Did they make a P2P version so that I don't need a computer to connect a camera to a hard drive and have it work?
Yes, they did. Several years ago, in fact. It's called USB On the Go

Being subtle works, too. Personally, I'd rather not be a dormitory
Since when? HL2 is set up exactly the same as HL1.
actually, that 10% probably wants to stick with XP as well but "corporate policy" dictates otherwise.

many power supplies still have this pass-through feature. in fact, a BFG power supply I purchased recently has it.
flight simulator x would certainly use all of that hardware. how well is a different matter, but FSX is upward scalable for memory, CPU, and GPU.
