Ok.. the stories are generic.. but are very well told..;) like, they don't give all the endings away.. the final twists are very well explored.. . Since the beginning all videogame stories tend to be somewhat identical but with diferent characters.. like good vs evil.. human vs alien, etc. Half Life was breathtaking.. it was the first time i jumped of the chair in a video game and another thing that i valued in that game was, the no dull middle intros and loading times... that fast level loading was a blast;). I remembered i hated NOLF because of all the intros and talking and poor 007 story alike (and tacky comedy).. Diablo 2 was very well narrated.. the intros and the music were superb (it was like, one wanted to finnish the level just to watch the intro, like if it was a prize).
...but i'm still waiting for Half Life 2.. (i think that even with it's old engine it would kick all the others butt ). The Last game that caught my attencion was Diablo 2 (and its expansion), and i felt like playing it till the end.. (before that one, it was HL). Both diferent types of games.. but had one thing in common.. A FREAKING GOOD STORY.. that's it.. I tried all the recent ones.. and they are dull.. dull intros... dull stories.. even WC3.. excessive and very detailed violence against human beings (vice city)
Well, the guy who made Anakin Skywalker in StarWars 2 is going to be in the 3rd prequel aswell.. and i think that he's going to represent the character in a older stage.. and both movies are only 2 years apart.. For achieving an older (and stronger) aspect he's pumping iron like crazy..;). And another thing.. if sfx can make Arnie not so old, those can also make Eduard appear older...
Terminator : "I'm too "oald" for this shit" common middle aged action character quote... (lethal weapon 3, latest Clint Easton movies.. etc etc...)
Why didn't they use Edward Furlong for this one?
with 12 years apart from each other (the movies), he would be fit for the role.. and the movie would be more consistent.. (in it's limits;)) The new John Connor is somewhat blonde.. and the hair is different.. Reminds me the Never Ending Story movies... In the first movie the kid had black hair, in the second he was blonde.. and in the third (yes there was a third) he was black again.. that kid had serious hair attitude:)..
is a dangerous speed to record cds, if they are cheap that can blow up and wreck your device..... One interesting idee to avoid those speeds would be multi thread recording with several laser heads... i think that there was a cd-reader with this capability..
I think games should be better developed to avoid those kind of fluctuations.. it shouldn't be the buyer responsability to avoid those... like "if you want steady 60 fps just buy a gforce fx ".. that sucks.. Another thing, games should be reviewed by it's minimum fps, example: "... in worst conditions this game stays at 30 fps..." not "... its average fps its 30... " well, i can do this in GTA with a tnt2.. but i have to look down (in the game) to achieve those 30 fps... and the gameplay simply sucks
people nowadays only look towards the eye candy in games (and that relates to the number of fps you achieve)... where's the freaking game quality and originality?
I'm not saying eyecandy is bad.. but look at this example.. Doom3... Whoa.. beauty.. all that technology.. Then you will start playing the game (this is one of many possible previews, might not be like that), and what a lump of manure..;) the gameplay sucks.. it's so fast that you don't even have the time to retain all of that eyecandy.. kill monsters one after the other.. and stay stupid in the end of the game (reminds me Return to Castle Wolfenstein)..
I would still buy a new addon to Half-life (still the best in it's domain, great story and which engine is old as hell) than the new Doom3 that would require the new Gforce fx (about 500 Us) to run at a measly 29 Fps (www.tomshardware.com)
And if you want to play bigger maps.. reedit those.. and add some fog;)!!! (lack of resources leads to creative thinking...)
I tend to agree... the performace diference is not that huge. Also, it's so damn stupid having Quake running at 240 fps... or even Ut2003 Running at 90 Fps.. The human eye can't tell the diference from 60 fps up.. (for some even 30 fps)
And even so the games don't improve in quality.. In the console world it's another story.. games are made for that hardware.. and thats it.. Programmers tend to give more slack to their creativity to compensate for some lack of visual goodies they could achieve with better hardware... there games look a lot better and funnier to be played..
Tnt2.. yeah right..!!! You should write a guide like.. "How to play Ut2003 at 5 fps.. with my Tnt2" Oh..maybe you just didn't get it.. Ut2003 is a FPS game.. not a Riven or Myst alike game... has anyone told you this?;)
Wasn't he thinking of making live action Dragon Ball movies too? I saw something about this in a rumour site (maybe slashdot awhile ago, i don't remember)
But money wasted on that comercial would be more well spent in sending food to Ethiopia!! Go and show that commercial there.. and they will send you a big Fu"#$ you!! It's like Red Hot say.. "Space is the ultimate frontier.. made in hollywood basement"

I stopped using divx5 for the same reason... spyware is the lammest way to get profit from, and the most useless one too.. people sooner or later uninstall the spyware plus the application it came with. I know that coding real apps for free may be a pain after awhile.. i agree that they charge for the software, and i also know that shareware doesn't work as good as it should (thank u astalavista), there must be more inventive ways to motivate a user to buy a peace of software

Whats the point of traveling in time... Just the case of traveling backwards would generate a new time line... we wouldnt be afected by that... so theres no use.. and if the person would come back again.. it wouldn't travel to its original time line in the future..
Just imagine.. if i would go back.. kill hitler, that would start a new and completely story line for me.. but for u guys it wouldn't matter because you wouldn't be aware of that..
All i can say is that time travel is a selfish one ticket journey
and one more thing.. those terminator plots are really, really a big mess...
Your too young and many new things will show up in the future.. Just remember not to do the same thing to those with 19 when youre 40 and at the top of a company like that (as you probably will be).. People have diferent interests, and some will do anything to reach them.. its about us to change this, and for all of our sake, i hope we can.. We should all kill our "f$#k each other" instincts..
