Funny, I just unpacked (there's no installation program) the distribution over my existing Phoenix directory and it's working perfectly with all my previous configuration/bookmarks/etc.
I miss an older Borland. Borland C++ 3.1 was the best programming plataform ever! Ahh... good old times.. Ctrl-F9 run, F8 step through, F7 step into.. sniff, sniff..
After the first windows version, I turned to be useless crap. But now I found a home again: vi+gcc+gdb.
Almost the same as mine. I just use -b 32, instead of -b 160. Useful to save space for the silence parts, and (threorecticaly) won't degrade quality with -V 320 and quality 0..
But now I think I'll switch to Vorbis. Ogg at 80kbps sounds like mp3 at 128kbps to me. The only drawback is that my portable mp3 player won't play.ogg, and I'll have to encode one for the PC and other for the portable player.:(
I have zero respect for any law. I only respect people. For example, on a traffic red light, I if there is no person trying to cross the street, and no car coming on the crossing, I just go ahead (if there is no cam watching me).
Don't ask if you can do something, you'll receive a NO. Just do it and see if anyone will try to stop you.
I see people saying TotalA is can be modded, but I think it's way too limited. Just creating new units and maps, and changing the rules a bit is not enouth.
I (and my TotalA friends) have some great ideas for modifying the game, but it's closed, and we don't have the chance. I'm even considering creating a new RTS game from scratch.
How hard it would be to try to get access to the code of TotalA? Certainly those enthusiasts out there already have tried.. Any ideas?
It's not only the Americans. In English the name of the country is "Brazil". I'm for instance am a Brazilian, but I call It "Brazil" when I'm write in English.
Defending? Brazil scored more times than any other team, and brazilian's defense was awful (just watch Brazil vs Costa Rica and you'll see). And Ronaldo scored in all matches, with 8 goals in 7 matches (Rivaldo scored 5).
A GPU make sense to view the improvised motion capture result in real time, but the motion capture stage has nothing to do with the final product. The rendering farms will still be used to make the final image with much inproved quality, and the post-production obviously has to take place too.
Yeah, and the fact that the monsters shot each other too.. Open the door, 30 guys in there. They see you and start shooting. But one hit another, and the chaos begin. The door closes, and you wait outside, just hearing the shooting and screeming inside. When everything is calmed down a bit, you open the door again and find lot's of corpses, and just one or two monsters alive.. That was fun. Or just type iddqd and run through the level "collecting" monsters, bring them to a big room and watch them fight.:)
Don't get too excited, my friend. Don't expect to see Doom III for quite some time. No dates have been mentioned yet, and it might not even be out by Christmas.
But, but.. they said it's going to be released on this year's E3, or did I read it wrong?
Cut'n'pasted from www.idsoftware.com: DOOM III is currently in development for the PC and will debut at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo in Activision's booth #1224 in the South Hall.
I've sold my geforce2 just 'cause I wanted NOT to waste much time in games. In fact I was waiting for Doom III to buy _the right_ 3D card for it. Now the time has come.. wich one is it?
(PS: as for the rest of the system, I hope my Athlon 950/256Mb will do)
Have you ever played Total Annihilation? It compares with Warcraft/Starcraft/C&C/AoE/others like Counter Strike compares to Mario Bros: it does not compare! Try it. Real physics. Lot's of possibilities. Never-ending variations. I love it.
I used kde back in the 0.x and 1.x days. Then switched to gnome1 just to try it, and found the pannel MUCH better then kde's. Got tired of all the bloat and crashes, and came back to a plain icewm environment. (99% of the time I'm in rxtv, vi or mozilla, don't use the file manager, so why eat so much memory with (almost) useless stuff?)
Think it's time to try a "desktop" again, more for curiosity than for real need, but I'll wait for the 3.0.1 version, that is sure come in a few weeks after 3.0 to fix some comon sily bugs.
another option (lighter for the server side) would be to give back not the compiled kernel, but the part of the source tree needed to compile it.
it's good to hear your own thoughts on others.. you both (ninenine and geekd) have a green little ball after your names now :P

Yes, it is skinnable.
...they'll take over all the planet. :)
Maybe USA (typical..
Other processor makers will pop out everywere to fill the gap.
I also noticed that.
:)
But it was easly solved with the "About Libranet" button on their main page..
(If I just copy/paste'd this about page I would certainly get an "Informative" moderation point..
Just when I re-encoded my 10GB of mp3's to ogg. :(
Now I'll have to re-encode it all again!
I love vi (too weird)

Many suggested SlickEdit, but they missed an important feature: SlickEdit have a VI emulation mode!

On Mozilla it's not wide.
He made it all, and still he was far from his 100%. Next time he will be back with double strengh, beware!
(If they don't break him, I hope.)
Go RONALDO!

Nothing to do with respec.
And nobody is a moron here.
Peace and Love!

These stupid moderators have no sense of humor, and that's why I read at -1.
