Exactly, they got nothing to loose. As another poster stated, this is a kamakazi attack. This FUD is destroying Linux's rep. It's not about the money, the/. crowd knows that SCO has to be be completly stupid if they think they're going to win.
Does the general public and PHBs know this? Someone (right!) is really scared of Linux and is doing whatever necessary to throw dirt at it.
Yup. As an example, just recently my sister was using my computer to access her course schedule for school and for some reason a simple javascript button on her school's site wouldnt work. I tried it on Mozilla, Opera, NS 7 and none worked. I called the school to see what was happening and got greeted by "You need to get a proper browser - Internet Explorer". I had to hang up and stop myself from screaming at the woman.
Why even complain about the do not call list if those people listed on the do not call list basically are saying that they don't want to buy stuff from the telemarketers in the first place!
That's like me getting a list of girls who would never go out with me. I'd love to have that list , it would save me time. Then again that list might be bigger than the do not call list, but that is beside the point.
"One thing about the GPL is that you can't just license IBM Linux, or Red Hat Linux," Gates said. "The way the GPL works, if you license any Linux, you have to license all Linux."
Thank you! , I thought I was the only idiot who didnt understand wtf he was saying here.
So AOL promised MS to use IE in their next versions (is this only for AOL windows?). How does the future plan of IE not being stand-alone affect this AOL using IE issue? Will MS release a special "IE for AOL" version? Will AOL not include a browser and just use IE APIs straight from Windows? What about non Windows users? Macs?
Well thats it, I'm not buying any more CDs and telling all my friends and family not to buy anything either. It will hurt the artists/labels? Well I don't care, they need to figure out an alternative way to bully RIAA.. bunch of donkeys.
I've couple of those Fujitsu 4GB drives around that could function as a boat anchor. Real engineering stuff.
So true, I've had 2 Fujitsus HDs, 5GB and 3GB that I use every day , day in and day out, heavy trashing, Windows and Linux. They are still serving me well.
I would seriously recommend that you sign up. That IBM account is no junk. Considering that you get access to developerWorks, articles and tutorials which on itself is worth the hassle of registering.
If they speak out against patents, they'd be speaking out against themselves
Good Thing(tm), You forgot the (tm), now /. is going to get sued!!

Just like everything else, The US doesnt give a shit about the rest of the world other than their own selfish agenda.

This makes me sick! - RIAA needs to be stopped.
They seem to be quiet involved in the related projects to me.
