And as someone who lived in the hades-hole of Massachusetts when it was implemented, it didn't work there and it's not working nationally.
Oh, folks have cover BUT for those of modest means who aren't entitled to subsidies, well, they can't afford their 5K/year premium PLUS the 5K per year deductible, so...
I live in an area with LOTS of (real) cowboys, the kind who work on ranches and rope cattle.
NONE of them have lifted pickups - it doesn't work with horse and cattle trailers.
Can somebody please tell me, please, how a "jobs bill" would work?
Now, if you want to talk about streamlining regulation that is one thing. But otherwise a 'jobs bill' is just more make-work, yes?
And tell me how the Democrats are different from the Republicans?
Oh yes, you can't do so.
Now, don't talk to me about the ACA, because quite clearly that law is designed to force individuals to buy health cover and save their employers money by not making them provide it.
No, it isn't quite written that way now, but it will be.
Let's see, we have more people on earth than ever, lifespans are rising, there is enough food in the world that even in poor countries folks can eat too much - tho I do know food isn't universally easy - the hurricane activity is at a 45 year low,...
Yeah. We in the USA will start paying, and we will send you a bill for the American inspired technology, medicine, and food exports.
Unfortunately, Americans want CHEAP over GOOD every time.
Libertarian I am, but I CHOOSE to pay more to shop at mom+pop stores etc. because I want these things in my community.
Most folks? If (say) a USA made product is $.01 more than an import from a third world country that treats its workers like slaves,
they will say "Oh, I can't afford that!"
So, no, nobody wants actually to have anything other than bare bones as cheap as possible. And we're declining so rapidly it's astounding - millennials aren't voluntarily not buying domiciles, cars, getting married even if they are being brainwashed into believing that biking everywhere is the thing and so on. They simply can't afford it because jobs don't pay anything. (Never mind that too many of them don't know anything despite 50K in student loans).
So you shouldn't prepare for winter storms, power failures, hurricanes if you live where you get them, have a tornado shelter if you live in tornado country, have savings, have food in your home, keep your gasoline tank in your car above "E"?
Boy, non preppers are really dumb, they're always at the mercy of every little glitch.
So if western countries intervene militarily in other countries it is bad - but forcing education (propaganda) on them is good?
Really?
Personally I'm a secular westerner .
And slavery was not outlawed throughout the British empire until the mid 1800s, if I recall correctly.
Guess what? They weren't perfect, nor were they saints.
But last I noted slavery hadn't been in practice in the US since the mid 1860s, rather a long time ago. If individuals choose not to remove their chains, and make something out of themselves with their own efforts, nobody can help them but themselves.
Those of us who actually listened in history class DO know the French gave the US the statue of liberty.
And guess what? It was only 3% of the US population who fought in the revolution, and a lot of citizens supported the British until the end - They were BRITISH. This was a civil war, really.
The US is already taking 70% of UN refugees, so stop.
As for the issues, last I noted it was the Syrian civil war and the rise of ISIS that created the problem, and guess what? Neither are American. Oh, the US had come in with boots on the ground to stop ISIS you'd be whining about that too.
As are some cyclists. Many times I've seen them flying into roundabouts near my home without stopping as they are supposed to because that's the traffic regulation. Fortunately, I don't expect cyclists to obey traffic laws even though they are *supposed to do so* so I haven't hit them.
Unfortunately, biking deaths will get worse in part because of this and in part because many auto drivers are unreasonable, too.
The difference is he was in the right place AND bought a ticket.
I'm no Jobs worshiper but methinks you're sounding more than a tad bitter the other way.
And the Democrats were the party of slavery.
And Margaret Sanger was a eugencist and addressed the KKK several teams because they were a darling of hers as they had similar goals.
Sounds like maybe you're starting to get an education.

We need it so I can spend my declining years living in .17 gravity, where a fall won't necessarily mean a broken hip, of course.
Too many of them have left and screwed the rest of us. Californians, stay home.

That's because many, many people from Massachusetts, the North Korea of North America, have moved there.

The only Republicans in Britain are those who want to abolish the monarchy. Methinks thou art an i diot.
It's called renting everything. No thanks.

Funny, that's also what Democrats seem to favor as well. Quite bizarre.
People don't care because for every crisis they are told to a) give governments more power, and b) pay higher taxes. This feels like all of it.

I dont' think the middle east manages reconciliation well -- it hasn't for 800 years.
Only what they spend as private citizens. These same diplomats etc. are immune even from traffic citations, and boy, do they take advantage of that!
No. The EEC was pushed by France as a way to control GERMANY. It hasn't really helped, has it?

That isn't true. Pedestrians ARE supposed to stop at traffic lights, stop at stop signs, etc. Cyclists do not, for the most part, do this.
