Hardware sites would do well to post more useful reviews like these that look at more than just raw performance numbers. When trying to resolve a recent video capture issue with my geforce4, I came across all the reviews I had read when shopping for the card. It occurred to me that none of them focused on anything other than 3d performance. They all mentioned the video-in, video-out capabilities, but only in passing. It wasn't tested, examined, or explained in any way. If I had had the foresight to see this back then, I might have bought a different card.
what we need is ubiquotous, wireless internet access. forget all these cell standards. just give me airtime, i'll bring the device, what i do with it is my own business. if there were a better mechanism in place for net-to-net phone calls, we could do away with the legacy telephony infrastructure entirely. Just like a normal radio station, businesses do have to license the music from or otherwise come to an agreement with the copyright holder. That's why all hold music is utter crap. No businesses are willing to pay for big-name artists.
Have you ever cooked/eaten any meats that are taboo in the U.S.? I'm thinking dog, cat, whale, seal, etc. Is it silly for these meats to be excluded from American menus?
Or does he just wake up at 2am and think what a wizard idea it would be to use a hair dryer as a catalyst for his cooking?
This is hardly a stroke of genius. Anybody who's ever used a grill has noticed that fanning the charcoal will cause it to heat more quickly. Using an automated fanning source is obvious enough.
I use an electric fan to achieve the same effect. I wedge into the railing on my porch, leave my grill half open, and turn the fan on high. We have glowing charcoal in a matter of minutes.
