We move ours all the time and don't have ethernet in most rooms of the house. I'd rather ethernet be optional to keep the footprint smaller.
We do not know that they can eat a person. We know they can kill a person however our shoulders cause issues for any snake trying to swallow us whole. Beyond that they tend eat things smaller than us. Consuming a 200 pound animal makes it very difficult for the snake to react defensively or flee from any threats.

I have a 3 year old Great Pyrenees and a 4 month old German Shepherd. They routinely tell on each other such as if one makes a mess or the other steals a stuffed animal it should not have. Additionally, they will also rat out my daughter if she does something they don't like. They look for me if there is trouble such as the time my daughter locked herself out of the house one morning. I woke up to the Pyrenees whining at the bedroom door. Since he was frantic I followed him downstairs and let her back in.
I seem to recall a study that demonstrated dogs vs wolves in how they handle problem solving. The short of it is that if a dog comes across something it can't solve on its own (ball rolls under a couch, etc) it will very quickly find its human to help. Wolves, even tame ones, will not go to humans for help. I believe this was done for similarly raised dogs and wolves so seems to be a side effect of the domestication process.

Outside of playing music and maybe voice based services such as maps or Siri (assuming cell data)I don't see the point over an actual iPhone based on screen size. Something that fits a wrist is not going to be great at reading text efficiently.

There are plenty of ways to get content legally for prices that are tiny compared to what the cable companies or direct tv offer. I only have an internet package and then pay for netflix and occasionally use the free hulu. My girlfriend has itunes and amazon video and we don't miss tv.
People have no problem paying for content; It is the extra $50 to $100 a month plus commercials that many don't see worth whatever extra value they provide over the above services.
Due to some life problems I had to move quickly on the cheap. I ended up in time warner territory and had no problem ordering 15Mb internet for $29.99 a month sans tv or phone. Of course, time warner has jacked up the price to $43.99 but that plus netflix at $7.99 is still better than the $100 for a tv/internet package.
