    Let me say this first:
I own an Xbox, I bought it to play XBox games. that's the only reason I want it.

If your afraid of MS patching your system for various reasons, and the bug that allows linux to be run on the system very well could be used for other things, then DONT BUY or USE AN XBOX!!!

Having said that I much prefer my Xbox to my PS2 or Gamecube. The only console I have been nearly as close to satisfaction levels with is the dreamcast. I bought my cube for Zelda, plain and simple, since I have ceased playing Zelda my cube is sitting in its box. My PS2? uh it's my dreamcast stand. It remains with the power switch turned off 90% of the time.

To quote Archie Bunker "Would it make you feel better if they were pushed out of winders?"

yes if there were no guns at all, then there would be no gun deaths, much like before the gun was invented, yet amasingly people have managed to kill one another in massive amounts for thousands of years of recorded history, all without the aid of the gun. However did they manage to do that? While we are at it, why not ban cars after all NO CARS= NO CAR RELATED FATALITIES!

Whats to stop me from obtaining a gun, in any way possible, and going after people? laws? There are already laws against killing people, and look how many people die despite them. Where you gonna cut off the "Weapon" level, recently in my state a person killed another with a pen, should we ban pens also, as they can be deadly? What about the fact that i could kill you with my bare hands, or a kitchen knife (given properly fitting gloves), are you going to take those away too? I could turn just about anything into a weapon if properly motivated, yet by some fluke of nature I haven't actually killed anyone yet.

Oh and BTW You should be afraid of me, not only do I not support the banning of guns, but I play Dungeons and Dragons, Violent Video Games, and I listen to Rock & Roll. So you should know I am just a cess pool of evil waiting to boil over into society at large!

You are contestntly bombarded by these waves, the proof is in the fact that others can see you. How do they accomplish that? They have specialized organs that detect specific frequencies of those waves nad translate them into and chemical/electrical pulse that is tranmistted to another organ (to put it simply, they can see you). Any elecetrical current running through a wire (powrlines, your walkman, your digital wristwatch) generates a magnetic wave, its just a fact of life.

Either both parties need to have a copy of the original file to compare the new one too to get at the altered bits, which would look a little bit off if you start sending multiple copies of the same file to someone, or a standardized methodology to inserting the data, making extraction a joke. Although it does make me wonder what is the threshold for such data insertion? could you for instance insert "hidden data" into a stream of data that is itself "hidden"? ( from what I know this should not be a problem at all, but it makes me wonder how paranoid someone would have to get after pulling out 32+ layers of data encryption just to find a cryptic note saying "dogs fly when fish fart") Besides shouldn't one just be able to purchase/steal/borrow/whatever multiple copies of the data and compare them to each other to determine the location and/or method of storing the "hidden data"?
