    Like a lot of people, I still play a lot of q3a and its mods. I'm all for GPL, but will this bring even MORE hackers, cheaters, and bots to quake that make it so unenjoyable?
    Plenty of peaple get around PB as it is, now they can program cheats RIGHT into their games? I don't exactly know how PB works.

    Obviously, we have Torah in printed book (also every Christian Bible contains it as the first 5 books) and digital versions. There is no issue of depriving have-nots.
    The scrolls are a traditional way to adhere to our ancient past. The Law is meant to be "Loved with all your mind, with all your heart" These traditions are ways of showing love, respect, and adherence.

    At first, I thought you had a really good idea, and it may be possible, but I don't think that there would be any DNA left after the treatments the scrolls go through.
    Do you think there is cow DNA in your car's black leather seats or tree DNA in your bleached white paper? I do not.
    I am not saying that the parchment is devoid of organic material (I have observed Torahs to be smelly), but I don't think cells are intact.
    Probably something strong in skin like keratin is all that's left.

    Some users may not know that it means "their" computer. They might think it's someone else's. I assume this is why MS did this to begin with.
    In all seriousness, I'm very glad to see that MS has made this change. Windows will be less of a toy now, and a bit more grown up real OS like linux.

    I highly highly doubt it, even if Anakin does kill Jar-Jar in an extremely violent way. I will never allow my children to see Eps. 1 & 2. They really ruined something I used to hole sacrosanct. I do not accept them anymore than I accept Data's retarded brother, B4. I'll see the new movie and hope it's good, but don't get my hopes up. I sure hope they don't mention metaclorians.

    I'm really surprised no one else on /. has pointed these two things out. It seems really stupid to me that he says this:

    Does he miss the point of what this box does? It's a TUNER. Coax is how the signal comes into your house and if you hooked it up to you cable box, like he wants, you still have coax in the equation PLUS a huge additional box that this product is meant to replace. It the dumbest thing I've ever read.

    Also, he authoritatively informs his readers that RCA splits the video signal up across red green and blue, which is completely false.

    If someone cares enough and is smart enough to decipher what I'm typing by sound, they deserve to know. They would however, realize that it was a mistake due to how uninteresting any data they collect from me would be.

    While I like css and think it makes the best looking pages with neat code, I think the existing pages are in a wonderfully simple format. These pages need to exist in such a pure form so that people can save the html and do as they like with it (like make a book).
    The documentation is all layed out in a logical manner and no navigation tree on each page is needed.

    A few years back I was contracted to the DOI teaching agents PC field repair and troubleshooting. I thought their computer systems were very nice and well managed. I was however only in the Wildlife and Fisheries Department.

    Agian, nothing is being wasted. I still use all my sparc CAD and simulation applications locally. I can just have the advantage of the nice gnome programs easily accesable. I for one am looking forward to Solaris Gnome for sure.
