"Some Linux diehards will say this is a backwards step because they think developers should make native games, and they worry that this will cause developers to get lazy and not bother building for anything but Windows."
Theres some truth in this statement but I welcome the renewed push to get more games working on Linux. Remember that Steam is the foremost digital games distribution platform and therefore carries a lot of weight. This presumably will invigorate SteamOS usage more and with it an increased user base of SteamOS (and the Linux Steam Client).
Subscription models and lack of choice are turning people away from Windows - so perhaps we will see some interesting graphs too , this time next year!
Wow, consumer electronics available in a variety of different colors . Only to be concealed with ugly rubber protective cases that also come in a variety of garish colors. Apples ability to push the boundaries never ceases to amaze me.
Capitalism aside I hope these companies came into existence in order to try and solve the worlds dependency on fossil fuels and usher in a new era of using renewables. Petty fighting does nothing to solve these issues and only increases the barrier of entry to those whose conscience is to make the world a better place.
Yep I'm very disappointed with 17.10 dual / hybrid GPU supported is now completely fucked and worked perfectly before. XPS15 (9530) I too find the scaling options poor and the touchscreen support is patchy at best. Worst Ubuntu release in years.
"There's no way I'll purchase a Samsung thing for my house for a while."...
Me neither they spend too much time trying to copy Apple (Except in facial recognition I think Samsung actually bagged that one first),I wouldnt buy any Apple products either because cost and vendor lock-in, and the fact that i like to make choices on merit rather than following fashion like a sheep.
would your opinion be different if , instead of calling it "Total Recall" it was called "We Can Remember It for You Wholesale" ?
By calling it the latter people wouldnt see it as a remake , but a new film based on the same book. I dont understand why film makers dont do this , particularly when by doing this they will always invite comparisons to the original. and as we all know , the original is always the best.
So why not make an original film interpretation of the same source material ?
I've been avoiding AMD based cpu / chipsets for a while now, Mostly down to the fact that its just a mistake to use AMD for running Linux. (Terrible GPU drivers) . Any Linux users out there care to comment on how AMD fare to Intel these days ? Thanks
I think the UK is experiencing the same thing. This is why the government is in such a mess. The Eton educated, racist buffoons with their minority government currently havent got a clue what to do about it since their whole existence is founded on deceit and lies. Its harder for them to continue when people are able to do their own research instead of being spoonfed by the mainstream media.
After suffering from lower back pain and sciatica for quite some time and even having a nerve block treatment. I've done yoga practice with my partner (recently qualified yoga teacher) she tailored sessions to work on my lower back . Now I have much better posture and body awareness, my back pain has not returned since. I cannot recommend yoga highly enough. My back issues were probably caused by my job Software Engineer where I sit on my arse all day tapping away at a keyboard!
This really depends on who's media you read. If you are basing those facts on British TV and Newspapers the chances are you wont have noticed that Theresa May's party could equally be branded with the "dumpster fire" slur. After all , her party was fighting over the manifesto and was the last to get it released. And my what a nightmarish proposition it is. But the BBC and even "reputable" newspapers are guilty of bias.
I would remind voters that they are NOT voting for the leader of the party, they are voting on their candidate. Read the manifesto's and decide which policies you think are beneficial. Try not to be selfish , think about how those policies will affect not you , but everyone else in the coutry. Try to think about how those policies will affect the environment and the planet. But do NOT vote because you have a thing against a certain person.
Reading the Conservative manifesto is basically a death wish for millions of needy people and also for the environment. FFS do not endorse the Tory manifesto by voting for it.
Im brushing up on my 6502 over my lunchbreaks, maybe working up to a c64 game or demo, but i dont do that during any other part of day. Given I work in games , i recognise theyd have first dibs on anything valuable. in reality I have a long way to go before that would likely happen .
If an employee is working on a non-approved side project while they should be doing more boring work thats not cool. I would say if you have downtime at work check with your employer first and find out how they would feel about you making better use of it. Nowt wrong with asking ?
Lack of choice ?

Not a word that i've ever considered using when referring to Apple. I cant imagine why ...

Playstation 3 Controller Lawsuit anyone ?
It will certainly be lossy.
The damage to the planet through the use of fossil fuels and having to deal with its repercussions far outweighs the cost of switching to renewables.
Obvious current hardware target would be Apollo/Vampire FPGA
Was it ever "just for graphics cards" though ?

The funny thing is there that your statement acknowledges that Android has the greater market share.

The graph shows that Apples iOS is actually in decline. Get over that!

No Mod Points , but this is single handedly the best comment in this thread.
Urm , and this was a surprise to the claimant?
Apple Cultists really are that stupid ?

It could have been an original.

This . instead of stopping cutbacks in funding our police and armed forces. This is why this woman should not be elected , nor her party.
Theres a remake of "The Mummy" unless by some miracle , thats probably a Rotten Tomato right there!
I agree with everything you say.
