He now owns four new cars and a 26-foot boat he doesn't need.
The Grant County man, a 2003 Taylor University graduate, became the biggest winner on "The Price is Right" since the television game show began airing on CBS in 1972.
Mostad won $178,999 in prizes in a special prime-time edition aired Saturday night to celebrate host Bob Barker's 80th birthday.
"I really believe that God did all this to me," Mostad said. "Things fell into place. I'm very much convinced that it was God's plan."
Mostad, who lives in Upland and works for a printing company in Hartford City, won four 2004-model vehicles.
He plans to sell them all and keep a car he bought the week before the show was taped Nov. 6 -- a purchase that prepared him for the game and helped him correctly choose which of three cars had the wrong sticker price.
He also will sell a 26-foot cabin cruiser boat and other winnings. But he isn't giving up two other prizes: weeklong trips for two to Hawaii and Washington, D.C.
"I really don't need five cars in my life," said Mostad, who is single and said he hoped to find a special someone to join him in Hawaii. "That boat is way more boat than I need or can afford."
With the proceeds from the items he sells, Mostad plans to donate some to his church in Hartford City and pay off his car and student loans.
Mostad appeared on the show during a trip to visit a friend in California. The two stood in line with others seeking to join the studio audience for a taping.
Mostad was the first to be called from the audience to "come on down" to the stage.
At the end of the show, he got a final turn at "the big wheel" -- for a chance to win $1 million. Although he didn't win, he wasn't upset.
"I was quite content with what I had won," Mostad said. "It's been awesome to be able to share what God's done in my life. God can work in ways that you never thought possible."
Afghanistan is not rid of the Taliban, dummy. The rest of your trashy post is fictitious. Nobody is in Iraq fighting for my freedoms In fact, your leaders in America have sold your freedom to a handful of corporations and government agencies. Shame on American citizens for not defending their nation.

Remove yourself from your hidden cabals. The time has come for revolution. Can you disbelieve any of this? Thought so. It's time. Rise.
