I loan my hammer to my neighbor. He goes and uses it to break into store. Should I be arrested for breaking and entering? Should I be arrested for aiding in a crime?
Blackboard is a total pile. I used it once, just once, in one of my classes. Our class used it however as more of a study of buggy software. We used it for one project. Although I believe my group never bothered with it, we just used irc.
The same thing happened to me and it totally fucked up my stuff with out so much as mentioning it to me. All it said it was doing was adding my mp3's to the list and said nothing about creating new directories and moving EVERYTHING around. Now I am more or less forced to use itunes. Fixing this could take me months
I think it would be pretty hard to get a speeding ticket on the mass pike to begin with. I've had a statey pass me when I was going 20 mph over the speed limit... he also then passed the guy going 25 mph over the speed limit.
Many of the professors I've had tell us that we can write our code on any platform we want using whatever IDE we want as long as it can compile and run on the sun boxes that the graders are using. Only in my freshman year did I use Visual C++. When we learned more we were expected to go code on the unix machines.
I totally agree there on creative not exactly supporting their products. I have an audigy and after a few bsod's I finally got it to work correctly... minus most of the software that came with it.
In one of my classes the professor would bring in a wireless access point so people with laptops could use them online during the class. She also brought in a few wireless cards that people could borrow. The point of doing this was to see how this affected the class. At the end of the semester she asked people who had been using laptops regularly what effect it had on them. I for one found it distracting at times since I would be browsing the web or chatting. But the nature of the class was to talk about current issues in the tech world and such so reading slashdot was kind of like doing classwork anyway =)
I remember playing this game. I had just thought to myself "Hey roleplaying games online in a Doom like style would be cool" and then proceeded to search if there were any. Meridian 59 was one of the first ones I found. Played around with it some found it to be pretty cool. I also stumbled across Everquest but it wasn't out yet so I signed up for the beta.. and got in =P
As much as I dislike VB and its ability to suck my will to live I would still use it to throw together something real quick that requires a gui of sorts. Its embarrassing to even admit that I've used it before though. Anyone have any suggestions for something else I could use?
I guess you didn't have enough patience for the first Baldur's Gate and I can understand why. I remember after playing a week or so and being so happy that I was level 3 and able to handle kobolds easily. It takes a long long time to get to the actual city though. The sequel was much better since it moved at a better pace.
Not only is it very scary but it really can drive you insane. Once your characters insanity level gets too low all hell breaks loose. The best is the bugs that crawl over the tv screen or when it mutes. Play it in the dark but first make sure to make a pillow fort.
Tactics like this is the reason why its been almost a year since I've bought a cd. Currently I have no plans on buying any new cd's and the way things are going I don't picture myself buying a cd in the foreseable future. You'd be surprised at how easy it is just not buy a new cd. I guess it also helps that there is nothing coming out anytime soon that I'd want to buy anyway.
I'm not against GE food or anything but recently I've been going over this topic in depth and I have one question for you. Do you know whats in that steak you are cutting? Bet you don't and I bet the companies that manufactored that steak don't want you to know. Nevermind what effects it might have on you down the road.
i'm just gonna be a pi bitch today and make a note on your sig... your last number is 2 however that number should be a 1 unless you are rounding up. Finally my knowledge of pi pays off;)

Nice picture... not my favorite though =)

I should be able to script it except for a few things. It was fairly messy to begin with and I was slowly organizing things. Too slowly it appears =(

I'm sure you would be glad to buy the trojaned early release of Half Life 2. I on the other hand will wait until the code has been reviewed.

I wouldn't say Windows has the most informative error messages but one I got was great!
Error: No Error

FDR and the New Deal created jobs by starting lots of public works and such. So the government can create jobs if it is willing to spend the money.

nuts someone beat me to it. This was the first thing I thought of when I saw this article.
kinda reminds me of serial experiments lain
The music industry seems to be really good at pissing off their customers. I see this as just another reason to continue to not buy music.

Well I'd still rather have a rhodes scholar that can get head in the white house than the frat boy who has trouble with two syllable words.
how this is different. How do you selectively breed pharmaceuticals into a plant?
