    The U.S. Military has extremely expensive equipment. How hard would it be to isolate their infrastructure on something not available on the World Wide Web? They Have SATELLITE NETWORKS! Put the public stuff on the world wide web, and keep the MILITARY INTRANET cord free from the web!

    At least it's not as bad aas what Mythic did earlier this week.

    Yeah, no kidding, I drive a wrangler with a six speed, when I visit the parents they want me to drive their auto trans.

    I actually once accidentally put the trans in drive instead of reverse. I cover the brake when I drive their pacifica, but wow - yeah, totally understand the brain fart thing.

    Securerom does a check for virtual drives, if it finds one, the game refuses to load (using the dvd in the dvd drive).

    It wouldn't work again until I unistalled 120% .

    I'm sure that 120% has developed a newer patch to prevent it from being detected, but for me at least, Until EA games stops this DRM crap, they won't have me as a customer - and I have all the c&c games up to kanes wrath. I don't download cracked games, I can afford to buy them.

    I quit buying EA Games when C&C 3 Kane's refused to play after I purchased Alcohol 120% .

    Apparently they felt they had the right to tell me what programs I am allowed to run on my PC. Unfortunately, they forgot who had the right to open up my wallet to purchase things.

    It has been invented and is on the market.

    I wave my card at a door, and the lock unlocks - I press in a five digit pass number, and the second door unlocks.

    It'd be ludicrous if apple was awarded a patent for putting it on their phone.

    Bad analogy. It is like holding the car company responsible for making cars without doors and locks when they get stolen. True, stealing a car is a criminal activity. But designing a car that can not be secured effectively is aiding and abetting.

    EA games DRM denied access to a game I purchased on my machine because I had Alcohol 120% installed, In deciding on that invasive course of action to protect their software, they lost me as a customer.

    If I buy the disc, and the disc is in the drive, don't lock me out of a game over your sense of ethics. Refund my money, and take the product back instead.

    Dish is even worse on leaving - you don't own any of the equipment, if you quit in February, they demand you climb up on the icy roof to get their lnb to ship back, and they threaten to charge not only the early termination fee - but the full cost of the equipment if its "damaged" in any way - meaning if they find a scratch, they'll hit your credit card- and better make sure the remotes are included.

    Took a complaint to the BBB and countless calls to the escalated tech (which never returns calls - you have to catch them when they are off a call and in their seat).

    I will never ever go with DTV, Dish, or comcast again. I'll take the netflix and stream the commercial free stuff to my tv instead.

    Cheaper too.

    I fixed my problem. I turned off cable/satellite, signed up to x-box and netflix. No more commercials, and and currently have an online library of well over a years worth of stuff lined up to watch.

    Did I mention no more commercials?

    If they would move past "Infotainment" and got back to writing good "News" instead of creating "Crisis" and attacking an administration simply to raise advertising funding I'd be inclined to buy a newspaper to read.
