So I had to google search a list of Ubisoft games to find out what the last one I bought was. I had to go all the way to the M's before I found one I owned. Funny enough once i got past the Myst series I didn't see any more games that I bought. So you just keep in spitting in to the wind Ubisoft.
I'd like to add that being called a terrorist by some people isn't the same as the government labeling a group as a terrorist movement. Which the submission seemed like it was trying to express.
As far as assembly goes I haven't had to use it in 10 years of professional work but some of the concepts learned help out. Some of my test questions were also questions asked in job interviews, also when you make a doubly linked list or an array in assembly you know that data structure inside and out.
Lets not forget voice commands, multitasking and copy and paste. Steve obviously did those long before android but held off on adding them to iOS so he could show it off at a press conference and charge more for the new model
I've always wondered about this. When money was tied to gold or silver wouldn't devaluation have been a problem if tomorrow some one found a huge freaking gold or silver mine?
The programs are still there so it's not like GM removing the spare tire. It's more akin to a the owners manual not telling you where the spare tire is.
Why would an employee that has access to the data steal the tapes and not make copies.Esp with all the attention even saying the tapes were stolen would cause. "Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity"
If you are so worried about security why are you accessing the internet at all? For that matter why do you even have a computer? Do you also not use a credit card or check card? It was pointed out quite eloquently above. "we can't let potential vulnerabilities get in the way of advancing technology."
Oh and at least Star Trek doesn't go back and edit Kirk so that He takes the girl out to dinner, walks her to her house, leaves her at her door and promises to call her later.
contracts aren't just rolled up, everything is itemeized, if the equipment shows up noticbaly lower than the other proposals someone will notice. And the lowest price doesnt always win, sometimes if the price a company propses is too low it demonstrates a severe lack of understanding the work to be done.
If you have enough distance between you and the car in front of you then their should be room for another car to get between you and you sill have time to increase the distance between you and the newer car in front of you. Also if you're going around the speed limit someone in front of you in a big hurry wont be close to you for long anyway.
And what's wrong with someone that gets in front of you anyway? It's not a race. I've noticed when I keep plenty of room between me and the next car in front of me I didn't have the problem that you describe over the long term and this is in DC with the worst drivers in the country. If you leave enough space for some one to merge the system as a whole works better.
A GUI (Graphical User Interface) is what a lot of people have decided is an easier way to convey information and accept user requests than a command line interface. If you want to be a 'purest' and always go with the CCL that's fine but some of us like taking advantage of trends in computer technology and have opted to use GUI's to configure and use our computers.
So you could almost use a protractor ownership to determine what kind of work a person does. I don't use a protractor, I deal with the ideal, with equations, with concepts. You on the other hand live in the real world and have to account for my screwups;) "In theory there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice there is."
Thanks, Yeah I never could figure out why they sell them in the school supply aisle. Every trig problem I had to solve went to great efforts to say angles are not accurate. In fact I think they would intentionally make the angles inaccurate to catch people. All those classes I would sit there wondering why do they even sell this or show us how to use them.
I just shuddered. No seriously, it started at the tips of my toes and went all the way to my head, giving me goosebumps and making my hair stand on end all along the way. I think I'll need to sleep with the lights on tonight.
BS! I read stories from a lot of different aggregators and the only one that talks about bitcoins AT ALL is slashdot. I hardly think it's because of the system trying to keep the power from the people I think more likely the other sites aren't staffed with people telling us how we need to buy in to this scam. It's quite sad to see this happening to /

This sounds like a case of persecution complex.
No, no that's okay, here let me Google that for you
Didn't we talk about this before?
So I guess my point is. Who cares?

I'm getting much more enjoyment out of this story than I should.
you don't think ipods are overpriced?

Never mind that was stated in the first link.
I can't find in the second link where it says it's very hard to encrypt backup tapes. Did I miss something?

Best fight scene ever put down on film!

Playing devils advocate, it depends on how you define expensive. As far as money goes yes it's free, as far as time goes, it has to be dog slow.
Also if this becomes popular and people start using... abusing it you can bet T-mobile will change their TOS.
In short this is why we can't have nice things.
This just in, I'm being told that many things in life aren't free.

There are at least two different Han Solos. One of them shot first, the other shot in self defense. It's all very quantum.

I'd like to see a professional protractor.
