When something isn't working according to the theory, it's not because it's an incorrect theory, it's because people NEED TO TRY HARDER! More WILL needs to be applied.
That is all.
The original dream we hardcore Opera users had was replacing the Presto engine with Blink, but wrapping it with the feature-full Opera interface experience. That was more a pipe dream.
Vivaldi already has more of the old Opera features than the new one does. It's a technology preview, so it's got a lot of rough edges, but the spirit of the old Opera is there.
It's way better than the Blade Runner movie, although the movie depicts the feel of the environment incredibly well. The story is pretty thin, though, compared with Dick's story. Dick turned down an option to write a "dumbed-down" (that is, change the Rosen Corporation's name to Tyrell Corporation, wink wink nudge nudge!) version of his story for publication with the movie release.
Given the pervasive nature of NSA compromising, do you know of any attempts by the NSA to put in backdoors or otherwise compromise OpenBSD--either by approaching you directly, or by infiltration?
Not at the moment. They continue to use Presto in Opera Mini and in embedded, so they don't want to open source it, no explicit reason beyond that given. (I read this at the http://blogs.opera.com/desktop site in the comments to one of the posts, can't find it...)
Opera users typically were hardcore about it, and would only let go when you pried their cold dead hand away from it. I've been a longtime Opera user...the new version is derisively called "Chropera" and I've dumped it. It's just bad, so many of the things that made Opera are gone, so why use this Chropera? It didn't even have a bookmark manager, just that stupid Speed Dial. And then there is the general evasiveness of the devs, especially about a Linux version.
So if you've forgotten about it, consider it a mercy. For those of us who loved using Opera, it's very painful.
There was a little dev, who had a little TRex, right in the middle of his forehead
When he was good, he was very very good,
And when he was bad he was horrid.
My work mobile phone happens to be the same number as a restaurant, except a different (nearby) area code. So I get a couple of calls a week. I've gotten calls from the state department of revenue, too. Someone keeps trying over and over, and just can't figure out the area code thing.
Boeing is ending 747 passenger production, will continue cargo version production.
Yep, yet another Strong Independent Woman who needs the men to protect her feeeeeeeelings.
Since we don't have large-scale wars, we need something else to cull the population of such imbeciles. Every little bit helps.
She's a botched human who has a warped view of reality.

Truth is, laziness is the mother of 9 out of 10 inventions.
I bet they're just proud of Hawaii's child, Barack Obama.
I just don't do it mediated by a glowing screen and run through computing systems.
Ars is totally infiltrated with SJWs, the place has turned to garbage.
Brittle Millenials are crying millions of tears.
Not necessarily. It could mean their HR department is going to become 50% of the company.

What's so horrible about The Hobbit?
The movies are stretched and it shows.
Sort of stretched, like... butter scraped over too much bread.

In that it continues showing off the problems of the beta site. Thanks for the reminder! DOWN WITH THE BETA.
It's been so cold lately that I even saw a lawyer with his hands in his own pockets!

This fanatical "activism" needs to be stopped.
We know this means, "The bribe went through with great success!"
Ah, the holy grail: a clean, no-frills distro. If you really want clean and no-frills, go OpenBSD.
One swallow does not a summer make. It's still Taxachusetts.
