Why doesn't Bill gates run around spending money on fun stuff? NSYNC guys almost buy a trip a to space. Woz has like 20 segways (and plays on a segway plo team). But why doesnt Bill Gates spend his money on such crazy things?
This has to be one of the most creative uses of technology I've seen on/. Great job!
Now theres gotta be some really funny/interesting images you could put on those? How about a bunch of people peering in (add some speakers and you could really scare some houseguests)?
Also, does the computer change brightness/images to match the time of day?
Couple things: Many many many of the newer cellphone models (esp from Sony Ericsson) are coming w/ bluetooth, which is a very nice feature when couple with a computer and the appropraite software.
And as far as mp3 players/ipods, bluetooth wasn't desined for that kind of stuff. It has a very low bandwidth making it ideal for cellphones, keyboard, mice, etc.
From the article: "As we got more publicity, more people who knew Bluetooth started to get involved in the discussion. Sadly, these people only had bad news to share. Developers started to tell us that what we were asking was impossible, because it was physically impossible for the Treo to access the voice stream from the radio. This meant that at best, a driver would only be capable of doing data over Bluetooth. But, as our conditions stated that it must support the headset profile, a driver that only did data would not have won the bounty."... and they're suprised nobody could do something impossible?
I'm a drummer and I got a pair of these for $130. These things work exactly as you described them. Whispers come through fine where as I drums sounds like your hitting carpet. These have definately been an earsaver well worth the money.
How much to liscense the spectrum to transmit this on?
Hey, its original and entertaining... unlike most all other forms of advertising.
"If anything can go wrong, it will" is a lot easier to understand and alot more reasonable... stupid mathematicitians.

That's pretty stupid. I can understand fish, but c'mon, a pig?
Isn't it funny how everyone is trying to keep VoIP unregulated, but then can't get 911 services. It's a compromise either way.
According to the article: 50 pages, tiny, feels cheap, excessive batteries, can't even exit some of the menus. Overall rating = 4/10
I think I'll pass for now, especially with the £150 (~$270)
Why don't they just support and push the adoption of IPv6 and build it correctly from the ground up vs. changing whats already in place?

Wouldn't it be the biggest slap in the face ever to have a repeat hijacking even after all the security is in place?
