  1. I'll be getting one... on Gameboy Advance SP Released Today in North America · · Score: 4, Insightful

    Gameboy is the last refuge of new, quality 2-D gaming. Am I the only one that misses spirites? I remember thinking someday we'd have anime quality 2-D games, now I guess I'll never see animation quality Street Fighter IX in an arcade. =/

  2. Re:Only one on Ultra-Cool Wireless Wearables · · Score: 1
    Am I the only one that thinks the wearable market, at least for right now, is a little overrated?

    I certainly hope so. The thing that strikes me is that most early adopters would be lazy fucks like me, and we'd all look stupid sitting motionless in a chair wearing this kind of gear. Seriously, I can't imagine what I would actually do with a wearable. What, am I going to read /. while rollerskating or something? I don't really get it.

  3. When I was a kid... on Cow Manure --> Electricity · · Score: 4, Insightful

    I thought the future was going to get bigger, brighter, better, and flying (cars). Now as I get older, and understand more about population issues, it seems we are going to have to come up with more and more clever ways of re-using waste products. I suppose this is better in the long run (?) but hopefully I will still be able to drive a flying, shit-powered car before I die. Hopefully I can get the OUTATIME vanity plate someone else in my state does.

  4. Well... on KDE And Gnome Cooperate On Interface Guidelines · · Score: 4, Insightful

    People wondered what impact Apple and their interface would have on the other 'nixes. I am pretty stoked to see what comes of this. We could be looking at the golden age of desktop 'nix right around the corner. If KDE/Gnome can just come up with something unique and useful , and chuck the Win98-ish crap....

    This is how 90% of my dreams end, and I remember my dreams almost every night. About half the time, this takes the form of me being extremely drunk/stoned in the dream. I usually realize what is going on, and try like hell to make myself move again. This usually wakes me up. I don't recall being paralyzed upon waking, except for one occasion. I agree wholeheartedly, this does indeed suck.

    This is just like any other platform bashing. Console, PC manufacturer, text editor =), whatever.

    I plunked down for the Saturn shortly after launch, and was very happy with it. NiGHTS, Panzer Dragoon, Virtua Fighter 2, Sega Rally, perfect translations of the Street Fighter games, I could go on and on. What's that? You didnt like/play those games? Maybe thats why you liked the PS better. Consoles then, and now, are about the games....duh.

    I can't stand cell phones, I don't need or want one, and I don't plan on getting one now. Maybe I have become truly die hard cynical, but this smacks of another case where I am being herded into buying something I don't need, because the public (read free or optional) alternative was taken away from me. I am so moving to Canada or Australia.
