It's been trendy for the exec types to read The Art of War as of late. If you want to fight sleeze with sleeze, The Prince will give you a few ideas next time around.
It's a little more complex than that. What I found curious is that in the FAQ, even though a company may be exempt (like a long distance company), they cannot contract out the work. So if AT&T is calling you direct it's a-ok, but if they outsource it to Joe's Sweat Shop Call Center that can be dinged for the fine.
From my experience working for a satanic market research firm, almost no-one does their own calling. Looks like it has the potential to wipe out quite a few calls and force telemarketing to be more expensive to the exempt companies. These are both good things.
It's funny, I remember watching guys play Dragon's Lair at the arcade (watching, because my Mom refused to give me quarters for such hungry machines). The 'experts' would carry little cards with all of the moves written in order on it... Left, Up, Up, Right, Up, Left...
Always wondered how memorizing joystick patterns would be 'fun'. Was nifty to watch, however, as the animation was beautiful.
And it's easy, really. Buy used CDs! I actually take great pleasure in 'the hunt' at the local used record shops. I'm looking for a range of material, and I rarely walk away empty handed from an outing.
And I buy stuff from the indie labels I like. They're mostly priced at $12 with I believe to be fair for a boutique price on a limited run CD. It's really that easy.
I'd like some more information on this $3.00 CD Replication deal? Because i'm putting my cd out and I haven't found anything near this price for Replication (which is pressing your CD) as opposed to Duplication (Which is CD-R).
As far as I can tell, the best you can get for Replicaiton is $1000 for UP TO 1000 CDs. Price doesn't change for less than 1000 CDs (like printing comics, it's a flat rate to set up the machines and get them running). And that's CUT RATE. Start throwing in 4 color j-cards, and watch out!
Honestly, I would like a link, if you have one... CD replication DOES have a significant cost, especially when your hours are reduced to 2 days a week!
Hey 10 CDs for a penny... but what's this $40 shipping?... and why do I get unsoliceted CDs in the mail every week?
My problem with Hollywood "Horror" Movies...
on
Resident Evil
·
· Score: 1
Saw Resident Evil at the Matinee... it's worth about $5. It had lots of zombies (good), and some full frontal nudity (very good).
The big problem with horror movies these days is that they're not really horror films... they're action movies with monsters thrown in. The plot in Resident Evil, for example, revolves around having to get out of dodge before the blast doors close in a predetermined amount of time ("You'll never dismantle the bomb in time, Mr. Bond!"). It wasn't "creepy", "horrific", "atmospheric", or "gory". But it did have zombies, so what are you gonna do?
Clearly I respect the man's opinion, but I believe he's wrong in this regard. There's no way a 10ft pole would do Staff damage! Torch damage at best...
With so many countries being mostly or all of one ethnic and/or religious group (which usually indicates that the country has its own racist and exclusionary practices or else they'd have a more visible minority)
Um, which "countries" are you talking about? Japan is 99% homogenious when it comes to race, but beyond that, just about every country on the globe is filled with different ethnicities and religions. Afganistan itself is divvied up into many, many regional warlord/ethinic groups. Simplifying your 'argument' sure does make armchair world policy easier, don't it?
...but somebody posted it on a website. It was a pretty big stink around here for a while. Someone cut you off? Look'em up on the web, drive to their house, knock on the door, and tell'em what you think. The website is long gone, however.
NEVER EVER EVER send anything by UPS unless you get in insured and 2 day aired or less.
Solid advice... unfortunately UPS 2nd day and Next Day air are prohibitivly expensive. Which leads to the obvious decision of going with FedEX. They're no angels either, but they're more concerned with keeping customers happy with claims than UPS is.
UPS is good for big items that can take a beating... little else.
Speaking as a film-maker, I can't be more underwhelmed by this product. Editing is not easy. Trust me, I've learned this the hard way. It's an art in and of itself. As a writer and a producer, I put a huge amount of time and effort into my film, and the idea that my audience can mix and mangle it to their heart's content is a bit disturbing.
Then again, films have been chopped/edited/colorized/censored for years and years. It's why I buy the director's cuts when I can.

Your trolling right? Folgers? Yuban?
Paper filters extract the yummy yummy essential oils that make the perfect cuppa... go with the french press!
Yeah, that's what the three rules are in theory. In practice, they go along these lines:
1. Do not kill
2. Obay rule 1
3. Go berzerk and kill everything
Ummm... Reasons I personally disliked the Matrix Reloaded:
1)Keanu Reeves can't act
2)Moronic tribal 'rave' as portrayed by Stomp(tm)
3)Keanu Reeves can't act
4)Way too much Exposition
4)Keanu Reeves can't act
5)Keanu Reeves can't act
The effects were nice!

Wow... I didn't think your kind existed in the wild. Do you mind if I ask where you work? Are you accepting applicaitons?

I stop buying from BMG.

I have it on good authority that Grokster is down as well... is Fast Track eliminating non-KaZaA clients?

Actually, I'm pretty sure that the Barrow Wights are played by the members of N'Sync.
It's been slashdotted!
I guess that Pud at F---ed'd Company doesn't have anything to worry about anymore!
