That would be one that would be ethically/morally wrong to abuse.
What the fuck, just because it's highly visible and currently kills 100% of it's victims, just that *one* would be wrong to abuse?
Pardon my soapbox, but I find any abuse of patents by pharmaceuticals to price fix or price jack the cost of their life-saving prescription medications to be completely and utterly offensive.
In a few years, I'm sure more and more antibiotic resistant strains of bacterium are going to start popping up, with dire consequences for people in hospitals. I, for one, would not want someone in my family going under the knife, perhaps contracting a resistant staph infection and dying because of some bio-pharm's goddamned patent.
Sure, they have every right to recompense for their research dollars, salaries, etc... but you know, as do I, that the patents will be used as a thin veil over corporate greed.
You see, Taco and Hemos are getting along just fine... It's Toms Hardware they're mad at, so they teamed up and are attempting the first mass-double-slashdotting DDOS.
Let's see if Tom's can handle it! Banzai !!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, but the key is, saying hi while not doing any of the following:
Wearing your trenchcoat. Wearing your trenchcoat with sunglasses. Wearing sunglasses in a dark bar/restaurant. Picking your nose. Eating results of said picking. Staring at anatomical parts other than the eyes. Looking in some other direction that at their eyes. Grinning like a psychotic megalomaniac preparing to take over the world. Intensely invading their personal space. Interrupting their conversation with their significant other.
So, just avoid those pitfalls, and I guarantee your success! Happy Valentines!
For the labelling: I prefer to think of my "back" button as working like a paper book. I generally don't flip pages "up" when going to a previous page, so the "back" terminology is friendly to me.
As for the idea: All I really need the back button to do, for better efficiency, is to skip posted forms, that's all I want. What did I miss in that article that really make their system stand out from stacking? I like my stacks dammit.
That great, wonderful even. Hopefully it's not Microsoft just using XML as a springboard for saying the equivalent of, "see, we're a good dog, and we're using open standards now," to cloud the judgement of any non-technical committee/court/public speaker that may attempt to point out their obvious monopoly. Meanwhile, myself, the company I work at, and the fire department I volunteer at will continue on with Office 97, happy as clams. Well, some Office 2000 too.
Is there anything else of value they're going to bring to the table with Office 11? More speed, smaller disk footprint, free beer?
Amen brother,
Any, any, reduction is actual generated heat reduces the amount of additional energy needed to move that produced waste heat. The benefits are two-fold. Higher initial electrical efficiency, coupled with lower power requirements for running mechanical fans. However, some heat pipe designs (depending on their thermal characteristics) move heat well enough to be able to remove the mechanical fan as well. So, I don't think it's a stop-gap, per se. Just a good solution to the wrong problem.
But every time I make a suggestion that we work smarter, instead of brute forcing everything, I get modded down. I guess that means I should just post more crap, instead of better... you be the judge.
Hehe. I'm with you. But the reason your looking for, to not go 50mph on a segway, is called "deceleration trauma." aka: the Sudden Stop

Should be pretty neat!

I have a G4/450 @ 512MB running 10.2 that had the ATI Rage-pro in it. (Non QE compatible) It was far, far slower than Photoshop 6 in OS 9 native. Even Photoshop 6 running inside Classic was about 30% faster. I purchased a Radeon 8500 64MB card (~$200) and it's added a new life to my machine. QE's offloading of graphics completely changed my machine, and I've noticed everything is faster.
Photoshop is now on-par with where it was under OS 9. Mind you, I'm on a G4, ymmv.
I'd check and see if your blue and white can take a Radeon card or not, that might do the trick for you.
1. Faster G3, yes it's not a G4, but still faster. 2. Radeon 7500. You get the benefits of having Quartz Extreme now. Believe me when I say having OS X off-load all the eyecandy to the GPU is a huge boost to performance. Especially for those who will undoubtedly tell you that Jaguar on the last set of iBooks is pretty slow.
All in all... I think the Radeon is going to provide more of a boost (for the 10.2 users) than the CPU speed. As always, YMMV.

Besides, everyone knows, you want your fish broiled, not steamed!

I only use my sanyo-5300 so I can remember hot women the next day... since I tend to drink a bit on the heavy side whilst I'm out about town. :)
That's enough outta you, mister. Your black turtleneck and beret are being confiscated!
Pffft.
Interesting way of thinking about that, thanks.
I'd mod you up, but I posted.

Recently divorced, living by myself. Snow cancelled my trip to my parents today, and I just don't feel like moving.
Now, so I can live vicariously though others, how about some folks who've have a better Christmas?
