I can understand not being able to walk into a store and buy one. Each store has a certain number in stock at any given time, and once they run out, they run out.
The last remaining high street Game (the capitalisation is deliberate) retail chain here in the UK didn't even get "new" NES Classics. What they did have though, was lots of UNOPENED pre-owned ones. With a scalpers price to match. That sort of shit should be stomped on by Nintendo.
: Do you respect robots.txt? : As a rule, yes: we do follow the robots exclusion protocol. However, in certain circumstances we may choose to overrule robots.txt. For instance: if content is necessary to render a page (e.g. Javascript, CSS) or content is deemed of curatorial value and falls within the bounds of the Legal Deposit Libraries Act 2003.
: Can I stop the crawling by using robots.txt or blocking your IP?
: Adding our crawls to robots.txt will stop further crawling once we reconsider the file (see above). Similarly, blocking our IP will stop all further access from that IP address. However, the British Library and other deposit libraries are entitled to copy UK-published material from the internet for this national collection. If you disallow our crawler or block our IP, you will introduce barriers to us fulfilling our legal obligations.
Would it not make sense to communicate first? Radio at 20 light years is a 40 year round trip. You never know, somebody might answer with instructions on how to get there quicker.
Hey! That's given me an idea for a great film. Is Jodie Foster available for the lead?

If you work at an AASP you'll know that the software will be useless without a GSX account.
Not knowing where it came from, scientists are looking into it.
but they do mean that dongles are a bit of a pain in the ass.
You're using them wrong! /me hides.
Six years, thanks to European Consumer Law:

(Link is to the UK, but it's the same for all EU countries)
Apple don't seem to put up much of a fight when making a claim either.

The British Library also maintain an archive. The FAQ relating to their crawler is quite an eye opener:

I have a friend who has the nickname 'Chip'. I keep suggesting to him that he should open a fish and chip shop and call it.....
Chip's
Just Google for "It's Lenny" :)
It looks just like something you'd expect from a Disney branded watch. Something an 8 year old would wear.
It's butt ugly!
And that promo video sounds like a remake of the Turbo Encabulator video.
That was back when upgrades actually offered something substantial.
Nowadays, it's mainly all about the "social" bollocks and ways of screwing more money out of the customer.
The 360 is likely the last gaming machine that I'll own.
There are all ASCII in DNS:
Punycode
Most Spectrum owners can probably still recall the sequences for calling LOAD "", POKE and cursor keys with little trouble.
One of the emulators is called "jpp" for this very reason. ;o)
(unless the arrestee gives up his password, which he doesn't have to do);
In the UK he does. And people have been punished for not handing it over.
Both talktalk and Sky have been doing some aggressive marketing lately. I wonder if that's where people are going.
I don't have any personal experience but I've heard that they're not much better. In particular, I've not heard a good word about talktalk.
TY!
Any invites left to cover me?!? xmobuk at gm.
Cheers! ;o)
It's an entirely different kind of flying.
I can't help feeling that 747s etc. are going to start falling out of the skies on a regular basis as a result of this.

And changing Solaris to SoLarry's.
Scott Mills (a BBC DJ) did this with 2 Chinese take aways. It was very funny.

I think a bot has a better chance of passing a Turing test than a telemarketer.
That's what "they" want you to think. That is just a fortunate collision.

It goes further than that. It's like saying:
"If you choose to keep the spare tyre, we will close the roads that you previously drove your car on."
