That's an interesting comment that glosses over many of the statements of science that are commonly excepted so much as "fact" that anyone that points out inconsistancies in them is labeled as anti-science or ignorant. Of course we are always learning more and yesterday's accepted theories have to adapt to new knowledge, but the virulence some people have for defending pet theories borders on intolerance. A good case in point is evolution, where if you don't mention it in a glowing light on/. you get modded into oblivion. Please note I didn't relate it to Creationism or Intelligent Design, it's just that the theory of evolution itself has about as many holes as IE. Sure, right now it's the best idea going, but that doesn't mean it's the end of the conversation. Yet questioning it all usually does end the conversation.
Astronomers investigating 20 20 low redshift quasars, found that for 19 of them, they found, as expected, that these super massive black holes are surrounded by a host galaxy.
Definitely a case of grammatical structure in search of a home!
Folks, this Microsoft thing just isn't taking off. So many versions of Windows and code forks. For business reliability and maximum TCO, take a look at Linux!
Hate crimes are thought crimes, pure and simple. The government has no business in our heads. If this means some joker gets off for killing a gay or black, then I guess _society_ will have to change in order for them to be prosecuted. You know, that's how we've been doing it, before hate crimes? It's taken a long time for many of those race crimes of the 60s to be prosecuted, but they're doing it. Let's face it, hate crimes terrorize your thoughts and remove any responsibility for the culture as a whole to change its attitudes.
I think I'm finally starting to appreciate the prequels. I think ROTS will reveal the things that seemed dumb in TPM and AOTC to have been part of a large web of deceit.
I thought it was stupid to have Anakin and Kenobi guard the princess in AOTC, but in light of ROTS it's clear that Padme is about as unsettling on Anakin as Palpatine is. When Anakin kills the village of sandpeople she doesn't take him to task, and actually goads him into disobeying the Jedi counsel in going to Geonosis. Finally, it's the fact that she may die in ROTS that pushes Anakin over the edge, after having already lost his mother and blaming the Jedi for it. That girl almost doomed us all. Now if only the acting could have been better. *sigh*
If you RTFA, you'll learn that of 700 articles, only about 24 had citation issues, and of those, only FOUR were articles that relied on unconfirmed quotes. The woman didn't cite her sources correctly, that's all this is.
whereas tracking and killing innocent animals on foot is just fine. Nice troll. I still continue to be amazed such nonsense makes it into the article summaries. Animals are not "innocent", and in many cases hunting acts as part of the ecosystem, preventing animal overpopulation. It you're going to troll Timothy, try to at least sound intelligent.
In your case, you're trying to make much of semantics, and going about it a little wrongheadedly. Since nobody but you called it a "shocking" or "brutal" injustice, you've apparently tried to blow our miffed feelings way out of proportion. Injustices come in a wide variety of sizes, from kicking the family dog to wholesale genocide.
Jeesh, get a life, it's a Futurama quote, for crying out loud. Perhaps _you_ shouldn't be so thin skinned.
5GB for a minimum install? So much for making a "Schwarz's floppy which has a root filesystem and is also bootable". At least now we know how many gigabytes the kitchen sink takes up: 2
what bugs me is I configure cups, try to print out of an app which has its own printer settings (like Moz or Acrobat), then everything gets filtered through kprint, at least on my system. So if something doesn't work, where's the problem? Also, if I use the cups admin, it breaks the fedora system config utility's settings, and vice versa. Fate and Linux are playing tricks on me!

50 votes for Kerry if history is any indicator.

one comparatively evolved tribe, and one un-evolved tribe...
Wasn't this done in caveman? Still, I loved that cheesy movie.

Congratulations on what is surely the first ROTS quote on /.

Someone pissed off about remarks concerning a TV show is amazed when someone quotes another TV show at them.
I've just walked into a Kevin Smith movie

I've never heard of such a brutal and shocking injustice that I cared so little about
Unjust is what happens when you're modded down for going against slashthink, not when some tv show with no ratings gets cancelled.
Or for the serious minded, unjust is when you could be sentenced to death in Indonesia for smuggling 4kg of dope.

Everyone knows the DPRK uses tunnels anyway. At least robots can stand up to the axe attacks better.

1. post trollish comment to dev list. /.
2. write article about it when you get flamed
3. welcome
Honestly, was her "question" valid for a dev list? Why not post this to gnome-list or one of the others. Nothing to see here
