Note that the description says that the Pro version has performance, caching, and clustering. The OSS version does not have performance and clustering. This statement would imply that caching is included. I would have lumped performance and caching together, but maybe their marketing department felt otherwise.
"The Resin distribution for 3.0.9 has been refactored into two distributions:
* Resin Professional - Most companies and organizations will use Resin Professional. Includes performance, caching, and clustering capabilities.
* Resin Open Source (GPL) - Contains all functional components of Resin, including EJB, but excludes performance and clustering capabilities. "
So, it looks like not all of Resin's performance is in the Open Source version. It would be interesting if someone were to compare the performance of Tomcat vs Resin Open Source.
Where is your mouse connected? To the display or the PowerMac? Try connecting to the CPU & see what happens. Or disconnect the USB cable from CPU to display.
Turns solid at 45 and 75 (I'm assuming C). 45C is 113F, outside the range of human temperature. The 45-75 sounds a bit too narrow to be of general practical use.
That would be a Jog/Shuttle to be more accurate. I don't know what's what, but if current consumer decks have a Jog wheel, then the wheel that spins round and round would be a shuttle.
The company that designed the scrollwheel is Apple, not Synaptics. Synaptics built the current solid-state device. But I am sure most of the design came from Apple. Why else wouldn't Synaptics not license it to anyone else?
It didn't need to be transparent if there were no restrictions; but the dimensions of each wall (in particular their thickness) used to house the whales warranted the use of transparent aluminum.
This is funny. If it's "identical" how can it have a higher bitrate?
Whatever, this issue has certainly polarized the music community. I personally do not like Real. Their ad-infested RealPlayer was enough to turn me off this company's products forever. And like another person posted, maybe if they fired all their upper management and changed their name, I may give them a second chance... maybe.
I use ActivCard. Basically the same as SecurID, but the credit card-based smartcard can be read in a USB card reader w/ appropriate software or a standalone card reader. No need to change cards after 2 years. You can also store your own digital certicates on the card.
I have seen Tempest 2000, but all these other variations as well as other cabinets don't have the feel of the original. It's probably due to my old age, too.
When I first saw a Tempest machine in the early 1980s, it was broken. I was intrigued by the black, uniquely wedge-shaped, unpowered cabinet. As I went home, I thought about how the game would look, given the simple controls and cool side panel graphics. I had spent a lot of money on that very same cabinet years down the road. One day, many many years later, I returned and found it was gone from the floor. It was broken again. Only this time, I got the opportunity to buy it. A strange feeling, being able to capture a part of one's childhood.
I don't play the cabinet anymore. Its display's capacitors have long degraded but thank goodness for (Mac)MAME.
Microsoft has a long history of embellishing their works in progress (aka FUD). I'll believe it when I see it in a released product. Hey what happened to the Longhorn SQL Server-based file system?
The article states that the researchers created rogue prions by shaking them. Does this mean that prolonged contact w/ machines that shake, tremble, vibrate will cause rogue prions in people, animals?
Parent suggestions are good. The most important are sleep at around the same time each night. Don't do anything else besides sleeping or having sex on your bed (like surfing on the internet, eating, watching TV, etc).
I had sleep problems many years ago, and I took a class on Qi-Gong. I was able to sleep after 2 weeks of nightly meditation. The poster's inability to sleep may be due to stress. Exercise may help here--just don't do it just before bedtime. Balanced diet will also help.
Basically, you need to just try lots of things. But like many others have said, reduce alcohol and caffeine (including chocolate) consumption.
The version I saw in 1977 is different that what's on video: there is no "Episode IV".
And I could have sworn that the scene where the stormtroopers chasing Han and Chewie went like this: 1. "close the blast doors, close the blast doors." on radio 2. Han and Chewie make it through 3. "open the blast doors, open the blast doors." on radio
Video versions (all 3 LD versions that I own) don't have 1 and yet that's not I remember.
I agree that friends are important. But to me, the most important thing that I have is my family. I don't have a lot of friends, but those whom I consider my friends I would trust them with my life. I am so busy that I don't have the time to constantly keep tabs with even email or even a phone call. I do know that even if we lose track for even a year our friendship will not diminsh. That's the reason why I don't value online communities as much as my real network of friends.

Yup. They've piggy-backed on Apple's R&D of iTunes and iPod. Real has branded themselves as a leech company.

SP2 won't install automatically even if you have enabled it to do that.
I actually have 2 Tempest monitor rejuvenation kits from Zanen Electronics. But thanks for this link.

My favorite game is still Tempest. There are some others that have come close like Test Drive: Le Mans on the Dreamcast.

But what's the difference between the molecular shaking done by the researchers versus something we experience?

The sleep chemical would be melatonin.

I think you mean its re-release in 1981.

Can't resist: All your light sabers are belong to us!
Guess you guys are too young to have seen Forbidden Planet . Y'know, "monsters from the id"?
Cable companies like Comcast will place restrictions on UL/DL, but DSL companies like SBC do not. I avoid Cable ISPs.
And while reading messages (I don't have an Orkut account), the system would automatically translate other languages to one's native language.
