I agree with these two posts. Well except the "gay" part.
So stacking the consoles isn't a mod, but putting a wooden box over the stack is.
The article sounded interesting when he said that the consoles use different voltages, but then he just decided to put each console's power supply inside the box...
Are you saying that adding three lines of code to a template and adding one javascript file to a site is unmaintainable? Especially since it doesn't break any other browsers. Other browsers just see a three-line comment.
Even IE users can see pngs, with full alpha. There have been at least two workarounds for IE that don't break other browsers. The one I have used unfortunately requires javascript, but those average users have not turned js off, so it's not a big deal.
Even when they do have js turned off, they can still see the pngs on the page perfectly if you don't use the alpha channel.
The only thing gif does better than png is animation. Okay, on some rare occasions, gif compresses better. But most of the time, you have no reason to use gif instead of png.
Up until recently, most researchers in the fight against spam have failed to classify it as an artificial living organism, hindering the development of effective tools and techniques to kill it.
That is not true. I have been using POPFile for 1 1/2 years now, and spam is no longer a problem for me. I see maybe 1 spam per week. I think that all filters' "bayesian part" is just about as effective, the differences come from the tokenizer. The more data you can extract from the message, the more data the bayesian classifier has to work with.
The article sounds like the author had just learned about neural nets and decided that they would be the best solution to spam without doing any real research on existing systems.
It the camera has 30 megapixels, a raw, uncompressed, 24-bit image will take 90 megabytes. 180 megs, if 48 bits. 500 megs really sounds insane at that resolution.
500 megs sounds realistic at around 100 megapixels. Or at a resolution of around 10240*7680 to 12800*9600.
What makes you think you need a top of the line pc to play Half-Life 2? Valve has said that HL2 will work on older machines. It might not look as pretty and it might not run at constant 60+ fps, but you can play it.
think the only major issue with it on IE is that I use PNGs with transparency - these render with a white background.
I posted one solution here
I write Micro$oft with a dollar sign!
Driving a race car is considered a sport, sitting turning a wheel, pushing pedals and controls on a steering wheel.
Do you know what g-forces are?
I know my karma will be punished for saying this, but I have to say it anyways.
Who cares? Honestly.
I will buy an ebook when I can read it as comfortably as a normal book. High contrast, high resolution, readable in daylight.
It's better they release it a little late than with more bugs.

Full alpha.
Using this code:
<!--[if gte IE 5.5000]>
<script type="text/javascript" src="fixiepng.js">
<![endif]-->
Include this javascript file to your page.
This was possibly taken from http://homepage.ntlworld.com/bobosola/pnginfo.htm
Fortunately there are some workarounds for full alpha support in IE that don't break other browsers.

Just like the year before.

It's nice to know I'm not the only one that is completely tired of the Slashdot privacy loonies.
You can make it work without breaking other browsers, it just takes some IE-only html and javascript.
Virii is not a word.
Yes bahamat, of course it had.
I don't know, but typing M$ makes you look like a retard.

And you don't even have to read the quest description that thoroughly, sinde they're always something like this:
."
"The Blacksmith said he was going to the Wind Cave to get some mythril
So you are saying that because he made an HL2 case, his PC should be the absolutely fastest machine in the world for playing HL2 when the game ships?
What makes you think you need a top of the line pc to play Half-Life 2? Valve has said that HL2 will work on older machines. It might not look as pretty and it might not run at constant 60+ fps, but you can play it.
True.
So that would make it kind of like water, eh? You can drown in water, right?
