when was the last time anyone gave much of a hoot about the news from finland?
Two weeks ago, when a young man bombed a mall, killing 7 and injuring dozens. Of course interest quickly faded when it was discovered the axis of evil wasn't involved, it was all done by a looney acting alone.
What "we" need isn't a client that functions like Outlook. "We" need something that feels like Outlook, but functions properly. Well, actually, "we" need a client that feels like Outlook Express, but functions properly.

Exactly! I don't want an email program, a news reader, an HTML editor, a chat program or an IM client with my browser. I use separate programs for those. If they can be plugged in to the browser, good. But I don't want a "forced" install of programs I never use.
One very easy and SAFE experiment is the one with an office chair and a bicyle tire.
Someone sits on the (rotating) chair and holds the tire in front of him. The tire is spun, and then the person sitting in the chair rotates the tire.
Result: The chair starts spinning.
If the person rotates the tire fast enough, he could fall, but othervise the experiment is pretty safe, no explosions or fire, but unexpected none the less...
If you want, you can resize in 10% increments. No-one is forcing you to resize to 267% or anything weird like that.
If you don't want to resize the pictures, you can define you own style sheet and use "user mode." That way you can see the images in their original size, and use whatever fontsize you want...
Please, if you haven't used the feature, don't criticise it.
If ayou port a program to Windows, make it look and feel like a Windows program. If you port a program to MacOS, make it look and feel like a MacOS program.
If you port a program to Linux, make it look and feel like either a Windows or a MacOS program, since there seem to be no look and feel guidelines for Linux programs.
The trouble is, The Gimp looks and feels like The Gimp.
It is one thing to do something radical first
I know: Microsoft could buy ad-space from gravestones. Or they could pay someone to change his name to MSN 8.
Give me karma.

And the comparsion PC isn't 20 times as loud as their silent PC. Since 10 dB means 10 times the power, 65-40=25 dB = 315 times the power
10 dB =10 times
20 dB =10 dB + 10 dB = 10 * 10 = 100 times
5 db = about 3 times
25 dB = 20 dB + 5 dB = 100 * about 3 = about 300 times

If you sent a resume to Motorola thet said something like:
Known programming languages:
C++
Perl
Java
Lisp
Assembly
I don't think they would take you too seriously.
If it said something like "8051 assembler" (and/or the same for some Motorola processor), I think they'd be a little more interested...
I call bullshit!
A duplicate story rises from the ashes of an earlier story.
Common sense would say that a hollowed out tree would propbably make a very bad spaceship. Not to mention dangerous.
Is there any "common sense" reason to not like Opera's resizing feature?
Yes, the images might look like shit, but so what? You don't have to use the feature if you don't want to.
Why would you dislike the feature again?

That's the whole point, these licenses are meant to keep people from doing what they want.
And telling people to only use free software is meant to keep people from doing what they want.
Okay, did I understand correctly:
Freedom means that I may only use free-as-in-speech software, no matter how crappy-as-in-shitty the software is?
Wow, nice freedom.
I say: Use free software if you want. Use non-free software if you want. I don't care. Just don't try to tell me what kind of software I should use.
The word "piracy" has returned to its roots...
Does MLDonkey accept text commands? If it does, you could try "dllink "

You do that. The whole world around you will make useful programs using higher-level languages.
