    Hey, maybe that is why you can't remember much from the early childhood. My own memories start at the age of three and those are just two "static images", then nothing again for quite some time, you know what I mean. Who knows how many reboots I had since then?

    As for "rural former Eastern-Bloc nation", I had a blast in the rural parts of the Czech Republic and Southern Poland. I've never met friendlier people nor felt safer in my life.

    Thank you for this, I wanted to write something along the same lines, but I am biased - I live here...

    Well I have not seen the source codes for this part of the OS but AFAIK, when I start WinAMP and some downloading under my user and leave, and my roommate comes over to frag someone in Q3A, he bitches that he has to listen to the music and that the line is slow... Sounds like you are pulling our leg a bit ;]

    I am sure you realize how cold it would be inside one of these... Absorbing heat means that the thing is cold, which means having such a material to sleep in is a reat PITA

    Well, it depends. Those EuroCity and InterCity trains here can be like six hours late. If it is your only choice, you're tired after a meeting and want to go home, beeing six hours late does wonders on your oppinion on trains. And if you count on it, it is then certainly not faster than plane :) And this happend three times already (InterCity Berlin - Prague - Budapest)... Just ranting, so mod me down to hell...

    I know this may offend many of you here, but what do you think about this: every baby, born with some genetic fault should be sterilized. That way it can live its life, become the next Mozart, or Einstein or whatever... Win-win, as I see it.

    This is probably the best argument I ever heard, when talking about cheating and I thank you for it.

    The only bad thing is that if you tried something like this in real-world chess games, nobody would play with them, because they will remember it. However, in online games is creating a new ID as easy as clicking the mouse and pressing a few keys...

    Here in the Czech Republic, one company chose to not pay anything to Microsoft. They used Linux and they did not even offer a Windows box. After about three months, Microsoft accused them of selling PCs with pirated OS, a group of cops came and confiscated everything in their HQ. It is almost a year ago, but from what I have read, the company still didn't get their stuff back and they have serious trouble doing bussiness. Free market indeed...

    But once you're past Jupiter, you will need an energy source other than the sun anyway, because photovoltaic cells won't work anymore.

    Once you're past Jupiter, the ship will already have quite some speed and since there is nothing to slow it down, I think the slower/no acceleration won't matter that much... BTW, can anyone here count how fast it will go by then?

    They'll produce an IE-less Windows, and an installer for IE. They'll demonstrate it in court. It'll work fine.

    I guess it will after a few seconds produce the BSOD on a great screen behind Bill Gates. Then the MS lawyers will say: "See? Doesn't work without it!". Once even the BSOD must prove it actually is usefull!
