    Not quite, the depth that warden goes into checking everything on your system is nothing short of amazing, the report this guy made on the warden client go on to say this:

    Next, warden opens every process running on your computer. The alpha version subverted the method used by warden which was GetProcessNext.Every process is read from in this way. I watched warden open my email program, and even my PGP key manager. Again, I feel this is a fairly severe violation of privacy, but what can you do?

    This is a comment from someone who has dissected the Warden client:

    The warden then uses the GetWindowTextA function to read the window text in the titlebar of every window. These are windows that are not in the WoW process, but any program running on your computer. I watched the warden sniff down the email addresses of people I was communicating with on MSN, the URL of several websites that I had open at the time, and the names of all my running programs, including those that were minimized or in the toolbar. Once these strings are obtained, they are passed through a hashing function and compared against a list of 'banning hashes' - if you match something in their list, I suspect you will get banned.

    xenocide3001(.net) was an AMAZING web based MMORPG that took little attention to either casually have fun or dominate the universe. Unfortunately, the writer of the game was burnt out, and I think he's shut it down for awhile. Here's hoping Kalak reads Slashdot!

    Simply disabled everyones internet and said too bad so sad. They then forced us to run a 15 day trial of Mcaffee on our computers before they even considered enabling us again. Only after we ran the virus scanner did they nmap our computers to look for open ports, and after they were sure we didnt have any did they enable us.

    You're all completely retarded. Did you not read the link? The money didnt come directly from the company, but from the companies PAC (Political Action Committee) meaning, Ballmer didnt give them money, the employees took a VOTE and DECIDED to give them money. Its still funny =D

    We read about this in my CS300 class. Basically, the manufacturers created this technology with an opt-out option, so that consumers could choose not to participate in the tracking if they did not want to.

    It was Kenwood that made this CD-ROM, and it didnt sell at all. I believe Maximum-PC gave it a shitty rating too, the drives kept breaking.

    Earliest memory I have is the day of my first birthday (er, well second, but I turned 1, you know what I mean). I ended up in the hospital because I had a really high fever, they threw me in a big metal tub filled with ice water. I remember the exact layout of the room and everything. Maybe its tragic events in our lives that we remember first? My parents always said to me "Sure, you remember all the bad, but nothing good". I guess thats why Im a "The glass is COMPLETELY empty" type person. Meh.
