Does it work with a standard Bluetooth receiver, or must you use the USB dongle they use? (BIOS config with this keyboard isn't an issue for me...but I'm in the market)
All depends on the state. $250 is a tenth of my car insurance here in Massachusetts, for one car. The other driver of the vehicle has only 2 years driving experience, and that's part of it, but it'd be half of what it is in another state.
It wasn't a coffee shop that I did this in, but...
Back when I worked a second job at a gasoline service station, our Coca Cola vendor gave us a case of Krank2o (caffeinated water) as a sample. The stuff tasted awful (caffeine doesn't taste that great in my opinion). What did we do? We made coffee with it. We had droves of people coming in over and over to buy this "amazingly good" coffee. Go figure.
*nods* They've addressed that to some extent -- I just bought a 2004 Saturn Ion.2 with the 5-speed auto, and it's doing roughly 40 mpg highway, and 34 mixed the way I drive. Then again, I drive like a trucker, so I don't have the sudden accelerations that most do...
Unfortunately, generally the largest use on most P2P networks *is* copyright infringement. If you can show me a network that's otherwise, I'll gladly take my words back, but I haven't seen one yet. There are a whole lot of really cool legal things that can be done with it, but they're overshadowed with the infringement, unfortunately. I think the analogy is closer to "paying money to a prostitute" equates with "solicitation". It's more likely that they're going to do something illegal with it than not.
I don't mind it so much on the TiBook in its smaller fashion...but things such as the G3 are a bit too much. Where I used to work, we had a whole pile of them in a particular office...it was creepy in there with the lights off, all these macs throbbing in unison! Eee!
But apple does not festoon their products with leds or other distractions....ah, what about the big glowing apple on the back of their laptops? Or the throbbing power indicator during standby that can light up an entire room? Apple isn't exempt from such a rant, either. Not to say that I don't like Apple products, mind you, I just hate the throbber. See masking tape solution above to take care of it, though...
You actually get people to accept those? I haven't been to a place yet that will accept a cheque with just a name on it...they even want the phone number and driver's license number on the things. Needless to say, I don't use cheques anymore...
I've got that now, here in Massachusetts...my lineup consists of (in this order):
PBS, CBS, ABC, NBC, Fox, New England Cable News, Comcast 8, Univision, Community Access, UPN, Another PBS affiliate, a "Religious" local access channel, WB, Yet another local access channel, Home Shopping Network and Comedy Central. It's $11 and some change, plus they make you get their locked out cable box for $4 on top of it.
Why go through life hating what I do when I can live comfortibly (sic?) and enjoy it? He obviously didn't hate his job that much. Me, if you offered me the same deal, I wouldn't do it. Why? I'd have plenty of money, but no time to enjoy it. Looks like your father found a way to do both. I've done the same.
Yep, same here. It's good to be in a stable job for once, and good to be sure that my paycheck will actually cash. It's truly amazing how much less stressful working normally is. Good riddens indeed!
I worked in IT for a good number of years, as everything from tech support to running a small computer shop. Eventually, I decided to try something else...I was getting sick of IT, sick of people. I went full tilt the other direction -- I became a trucker. The pay is the same or better (depending upon what I'm doing), and the satisfaction of getting things done, truly, is much better than the endless chain of people in tech support. Fixing pc's was never the same, nor was managing databases. I've also found that it's great seeing the country as a whole -- there's a lot of stuff out there you just don't get to enjoy when you're inside a building 8-12 hours a day.
Well, I used to drive for C.R. England, sadly enough. I'm driving for J.B. Hunt now, but it's a local deal, dedicated for Big Y Foods...so I see a bit less of the world now.
Arkansas is pretty bad...but Montana takes the cake, no service for anyone *chuckles*. Though my Nextel phone will pick up the Canadian tower from up there...useless though it may be...

Oh, I see. I was going to say...$500 for a year o.o

I don't know about the hard drive, but Compaq called the tower the CPU for the longest time...

The EPA test shows 33/25 if I remember right.

You can disable that, you know...
In XP (and 2K?): Control Panel -> Accessibility Options -> Keyboard tab -> Settings (for sticky keys...and any others that bother you) -> Uncheck "Use Shortcut".
Their lawyer, who gladly took it on contingency...10 days later, they had a new transmission...
So...his payment was...one of the gears?
That's one big shelf!
Same here, same here...I think, it might have been interesting to see where Brian's cache memory was...it must be getting late *heads off to sleep*

Whoops...the preview button's the one on the right. How about that...

No, that's tresspassing/breaking and entering. It doesn't violate the 4th, it violates some entirely different regulations.

That throws a 403.
Well, you see, the problem there was that you had turned off the TURBO switch...oh wait...

Bottom line: Do what feels right.
Heh. No, I very happily have a 'No Lot Lizards' sticker on my truck for a reason. When I'm at a truck stop, I'm there to sleep, dangit!
